A few things:

1.) LionKing, burn in hell for introducing this foul thing to my life.

2.) What is it about me that, when it comes to this sort of thing, I'll inevitably get my best score in my first game, then get worse and worse as I go.

3.) Is anyone else having more luck when they don't ace? i.e. when you give them a nice easy serve, let them get moving a bit, and then unleash the curve balls?

4.) I HIT THAT! WHAT DO YOU MEAN I MISSED! DIE! (This game has turned me into John McEnroe.)

My theory: acing your serves on the lower levels is a fool's game. You can do it, but you're preventing yourself from getting into a zone before the higher levels. If you want to run off 9 or 12 straight aces to start the game, you're going to have a tough time of it once you have to gear up for the higher levels.

Oh, by the way, I'm terrible at this game, in case you're wondering.

Acing all the serves up to level 5 will give you a ton of bonus points(quicker you beat a level more points you get). I can get in my zone in level 6 and 7.

Unfortunately, this another one of those games where processor speed is an issue. On a different, slower computer, I was able to almost beat level 8, which I hadn't been even close to before, and I wasn't playing very well.

I can hang with the level 8 paddle for a long time, but nothing I can do with get the ball past it. I gained over 7,000 points on level 8 without scoring a damn point. I scored one on level 8 the first time I got to it again a couple days ago, but can't for the life of me figure out how to do it again.

I think you go all out and trust chance to beat 8. By that I mean, put the super curve on and get that thing bouncing all over creation.

I find that if I hook the ball too much on the serve, not only is it an easier return for them, but the ball is now moving so much laterally that I'm in danger of not getting it back off of the return. So I still like to try to hit the corners, just with a more leisurely curve so I don't have to handle a nasty return.

I've made it to 9 as wel, once. Roughly 30,050 score, can't remember exactly. But as someone said previously, the game runs slower on slower machines, and therefor easier to play. I'm running it on an athlon xp 1800. So not to slow.

Ah, I have a faster system and level 8 is just about impossible for me. I have got my score up to 29,000, but that was my playing perfectly 1-7.

That's the second time I've hit level 9, other time I finished just under 28,000. I'm running a P4 1.6 with 512 RAM though, so I don't think the cpu is having too hard of a time with the page. Now I want to see a screenshot of Level 10.
