Actually Dan Dickau IS the first rounder from Sacramento...... A former 1st rounder.
Atleast that's how I understood it.

Thank god. Now people in Dallas can shut up about getting Shareef. Why the Mavs would ever want him is way beyond me...

Wow, I wonder with all the cap space ATL is getting, if Kobe will be moving into SKydogs back yard.

aaaah, i see. makes sense, i forgot Sacramento traded him for a future 1st rounder.
good for Dan, hes a portland area native, and his wife is a portland cheerleader.
Is Shareef in the final year of his contract as well?

Everyone is getting Cap space
It'll be Memphis or the Lakers though. Memphis because of Jerry West and the Lakers because of the money. Clips have a longshot at him too, but everyone else is just dreaming.

Yes, but Memphis has no possible way to clear enough cap space to fit Kobe, and I strongly doubt the Lakers will facilitate a sign and trade to get him out of town. Now MAYBE if the Griz were to send Gasol/Battier/Bonzi/Dickersons contract they would be in the range to afford Kobe, but that would gut their team.

Just imagine waking up and discovering this little deal in your own backyard.
I figured it was impossible for me to care less about the Hawks. I was wrong.
Maybe they figured Wallace would at least generate free publicity on occasion.
Yeah, I know it's all about the cap money, that doesn't make it much less disgusting.

The Hawks like the headcases...rather, they like to rent the headcases...even trading away a local player for one.

Un-stinkin'-believable. :(
No, wait, it actually is believable, which makes it even more sad.

This isnt as bad as last year where they paid the #8 pick(TJ Ford) and some other stuff for Big Dog Robinson. Then they promptly traded Robinson the following season for Terrell BRandon, who will never play again. :(
A bet Atlanta aread Weed dealers are creaming themselves tho, with the chance to supply Rashweed.

A friend of mine that I chat with has the right idea here I think:
"I think it's more like Rasheed and Wesley Person + a shitload of weed for all those players. this is actually an elaborate drug deal"
What's the slogan? I LOVE THIS GAME?
I love basketball, I used to play it 4 hours a day every day for years. I can watch any two random college teams play and love it. But I won't turn on an NBA game, no matter how curious I get about Lebron(only reason I could think of to be curious about the NBA at all anymore)

I wonder if it wouldn't be smarter just to trade the franchise for something useful or interesting, like a minor league women's indoor lacrosse team or something.
Oh, wait, I see a problem. WTF in their right minds would want the Hawks?

I assume that this deal was to get Rasheed's contract, which expires next year, off the books. Same reason they traded for Brandon.
If I was to speculate, I would say that the Hawks are trying the "empty cupboard" challenge. We should check and see if Quik is their new GM. We'll have a better idea if the team announces in the next few weeks that they are changing their name to the "Misfit Toys."

I think we're dissing it here in Atlanta because no matter what, we know we're going to lose.
We'd rather lose with players with the character of an Abdur-Rahim or Ratliff than lose with Rasheed Wallace.

Bingo.
Hell, I'd rather lose with SAR than win with scum like Wallace.

What the hell is Atlanta thinking? Why would a team EVER want Wallace
