It's already 8 this season. I suppose they go to 9 now?

And here we think it is impossible for a US team to make it to the ML for Div. V or VI, imagine IX!

I can't even seem to get out of my div V, I can't even fathom making it to the majors in say, less than 50 odd seasons !!!

any economic majors in here? what does adding teams do to the hattrick economy?
i would think initially it would raise the prices of lower level players (excellent and below) but long term it would deflate the overall prices since all these new teams will be generating youth pulls and trainees? obviously this isnt the first time this has came up since hattrick has always been adding more teams, but it seems the growth has been a lot more recently with new countries and divisions.
but hey, what do i know. i majored in computer science/psychology. i only took that macro econ class because my mentor made me. i slept through it and happily took my B.

that is probably why they introduce more money into the economy every few seasons. I know that lately the trend has been deflation of prices on the market. The biggest problem in my mind, that the world has is the power the Sverige has on everyone else. They have more then double the number of youth pulls each week than most everyone else. Its the only reason they win like every WC and such, not because they play the game any better then anyone else, but only because they have a giant statistical advantage.

Really, there isn't a deflation after "formidable" players, it's just that everyone sells at formidable. At outstanding on up, everythig is pretty normal.

That just means more teams to buy my guys :) Besides, none of these teams will be competing with me for players for awhile, since im above the level of players they can afford.

Just a big ramp-ups are Brazil, Estonia and Oceania, all going from about 2700 to 10920. On a percentage basis, these are the largest potential jumps.

I think you're right. Long term the supply will increase over demand since a lower level team is much more likely to sell a great youth pull than keep and train. Which will raise the overall standards of what's considered quality as well. So you'll have higher supply of quality and a lower demand for what used to be considered quality.

Does anyone really play the game better than anyone else at the national level? The only thing I see as strategy is choosing when to PIC and when to MOTS. At the national level it's already become a contest of whose divine ratings are higher than the other's.

Hence my support for an HT Champion's League which would be infinitely more interesting.

Actually the whole divine ratings are why I emailed the devs a while back about changing some things...

i agree that at the national level, it is pretty boring watching divines go against divines.
what about adding on more levels above divine? say a total of 40 levels. enough to make it unattainable to any ingame player for any skill.

also, im not a big fan of the champions league, but i have to admit, it would be more interesting than a u-20/world cup match. although maybe allowing a limited number of loans to any team in the national league. like 2 players per team. since the only intriguing thing about the u-20/world cup is that it is "possible" to have a player be on the team. while it will be near impossible for me to make it in the champions cup.

Like I was saying, I emailed the devs because like you are saying, there are getting to be too many divines. I was actually talking about the players, because to me, that should be near impossible to reach, it's not anymore though.

They said they didn't see a problem with the players at the time being, but when they need to change it, they will.

Then he talked about how they are looking to change the way team ratings are calculated very soon.

That's an interesting and vague statement from him. I wonder what exactly they mean?

yeah, thats kind of scary actually. depends on how big of a change they are looking at though.
