Alright guys, im sure all of us here have ladies(and if you dont there is still time...start flirting). This thread is to share the creative and romantic ideas you are going to do or have done in the past that went over really well. Hopefully this will help those who dont have ideas get some, and to let the others marvel at how much smarter you are with the ladies.

What i will be doing:

First i am taking my gf(6 months) out for a picnic by the lake, courtesy of food my sister made since i cant cook to save my life. After this we are going to my house where i bought her her favorite movie(Sleepless in Seattle), and will have her unwrap it after finding it in a treasure hunt around the house. We will then watch the movie and head out to the Phonecian resort for a gondola ride and and italian dinner by candlelight. From there we will go to our favorite spot where i will have a telescope set up. I went to the star registry and named a star after her, so i will show her the certificate and star, then lay out a blanket and cuddle for awhile. More then likely we will fall asleep under the stars together.

Think a girl will like that?, and what are you doing?

Having flowers delivered on Friday.

Painting the expectant baby's room and moving the furniture in (probably start on Saturday and finish by Monday).

Going out to dinner at an expensive restaurant Saturday night, with Grandma watching the kid.

As for a gift, my wife already picked out a bracelet and 2 rings last week. That's quite enough.

geez between 6 month guy and married guy I think all the bases are covered.

makes my "uh, here's some flowers and this card" seem kind of weak...

Alice is preparing a "surprise" thing for me...I don't know more. I'm left wondering.

I'll get her some flowers on Friday. Saturday night, I'm planning to take her to a restaurant for dinner theatre that she's always wanted to go to...that should be fun. And for me...she went to a sex party at a girlfriend's house...and no, it's not a party where all these girls get nasty with each other, believe me, I asked...so, I'm sure we'll have some fun after dinner with whatever she purchased.

Not if she bought a blow up man doll...

Taking the wife and kids to San Diego over the weekend. Spontaneously decided to do it yesterday as a surprise.

Not if she bought a blow up man doll...

No worries...she showed me the catalogue from the party and there were no blowup dolls...male of female.

Only one item made me nervous...his and hers anal beads...but, I'm certain that she wouldn't be interested in that. She, like me, feels that the sun don't shine there for a reason.

As I mentioned in another thread...

for valentines day I sent my unemployed fiancee driving up to North Carolina to pick up my mother who is going quite insane over wedding plans(and her lack of involvement... she's the mother of the groom, isn't that normal? I don't know. Oh well).

It was fiancee's idea. She is truly wonderful and is making an amazing effort to make sure all family members are in good standing with each other. But the timing is a bit rough since she'll be down here on Saturday.

Luckily, we did have reservations for the Melting Pot last Friday night. That was absolutely wonderful.

My girlfriend is planning and paying for everything this year. We can't actually celebrate until next weekend since we both have to work all weekend long, so I hae next Saturday and SUnday off. She's tried to keep everything a secret, but I know that we're going somewhere really nice for dinner, probably going to some sort of show after dinner, and she let slip that we're going to a bed and breakfast after that.

I'm really looking forward to it, should be loads of fun... :)

I never get tired of saying this...

I will graciously collect the chocolate and goodies from various girls-- Both ones I'm romantically involved with and ones I'm not.

I won't spend a thin dime. Because that's the way they play it here in the land of the Rising Sun.

:D :D :D

You poor fellows have been hoodwinked, bamboozed, run amok, led astray...

You didn't deliver FTD. FTD delivered you!

My girlfriend is taking me on a surprise trip this weekend. I have no idea where but we are leaving on Saturday morning and coming back on Sunday night. She has taken care of the hotel and dinner reservations for Saturday. I am taking her to a nice dinner on Friday at a restaurant we have been meaning to go to. I think it will be lots of fun.

So far nobody's said it's a ridiculous holiday and no fun to have Hallmark tell you when to do something nice? Guess I'll be the first then.

I bagged up two holidays and one birthday with one big present: for xmas I gave her tix to a concert for valnetines day, and on her birthday (feb 1) we enjoyed a great night out.

Dinner for two at a nice italien restaraunt followed by the "BAre Naked Ladies" Concert at UMASS on Saturday night.

BNL is her favorite band of all time, we're gone to many previous shows. then of course we'll come home and keep trying to reproduce =)

yes people, there will be little "RendeR"s running amok in the next few years....

I was actually thinking of something along these lines but was thinking about sending an e-card. Then I was thinking that she does not check her email every day. So sending a card via mail may be a better idea but she still lives with her parents and I don't want to create any unnecessary turmoil, as she feels that her parents would not approve of our relationship at this time. So I guess the e-card is the best way to go, I'll just tell her to make sure she checks her email on Saturday.

I do agree with this - most holidays are anniversaries of something. Valentines day is the anniversary of big business screwing guys all over America by making us buy shit for our significant other.

well, i have a tradition of buying Mrs. Atlantic a dozen roses for every year we've been together - she was up to 5 dozen a couple years ago but i thought it'd be best to start over back to 1 since we were married, so she got 2 dozen roses last nite in front of her co-workers (cuz women love to have shit to show off in front of their fellow species members - men have sports cars and expensive PC's to show off with, women have V-Day). today we're gonna have dinner at this very nice local Italian restaurant that got a great review in the Daily News, then we're gonna see Cold Mountain, a movie she's wanted to see for a while (and i wouldn't mind seeing either based on the war scenes).

QS got me thinking about next year - maybe a surprise trip to AC would be cool. we've always been there during the day but never overnite.

blade: sure you don't need romance advice - but jeez, bro, you're gonna blow your load all in the beginning. that's a lot for one day - if she turns out to be "the one" what are you gonna do for her when you're married? i'm telling ya, you're gonna always have to outdo yourself if you start off like that. gotta think long-term - marathon, not sprint.

now if you haven't got them drawers yet, well, do what you gotta do then, Romeo. lol :D

Jerry: 182 bucks.
