Sorry if the subject is a tease, but I've been eagerly awaiting the update to SI's webpage for the BIG NEWS...

However, with so much traffic hitting the site, I've only been able to actually pull up the site once, and when I clicked on a story to read, my browser hung again...

So, can anyone fill me in on the big changes that are happening over there?

All I saw was that Sega and SI signed a 5 year deal...there was also something about a purchase of some sort (can't remember the name of the title)

If anyone has a direct link to the message boards over at SI, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could post it too...

Thanks...

Kevin

I'm so accustomed to just bypassing stick threads... Just FYI, apart from the Reference Thread and certain very important announcements (like a board upgrade meaning that the board is going to be down for several hours), threads usually remain stickied for around 24 hours around here. Just so you know, here are the things that generally get stickied:

Announcements of new text sims under development.
Announcements of text sim releases.
Announcements of patches to text sims.
Other important text-sim or community-related items such as developer chats, Q&A's, etc.
For non-FOF text sims, I try to make sure that the thread is stickied for one full work day, and then archived in the "other text sims" section of the reference thread. For FOF/TCY announcements of the above variety, they generally stay around two days, and also get an article on the front page. (www.sportplanet.com/fof (http://www.sportplanet.com/fof))

So, point being, I'd make sure to check the stickies when you're around here. They don't stay long, and they are generally items of wide interest.
