Free Allegiance...... (Video Game)

I stumpled across this game at Gamespot the other day. Apparently its been out since 2000, but for some reason it just never got alot of attention. It won Gamespot's "Best Game No One Played" award that year and every review i've read about the game is good. Plus.... its free now :) and Microsoft just released the full source code so some neat modding will probally take place.

It already had a small tight knit community, but now that its free alot of new people are playing. The game is like a multiplayer Space combat RTS, im not even gonna try to explain the game because im to lazy. But you can download it and play it here......

I recommend exploring the site some and reading over the forums. Once you do the ingame training, you should also go to this site and read through it.

I bought this game when it came out and it was fun to play. Too bad my internet connection was so unreliable at the time that I quit playing.

Nothing like being in a squad of bombers heading for the enemy's system, you warp in and there's a ton of cap ships awaiting you.

heheh yeah.... its pretty intense sometimes, i love being a turret man in a cap ship :) fun fun fun!

I've enjoyed playing the last couple days and i still don't have the game figured out yet. Its got a pretty steep learning curve.

i just can't believe its free already, it usually takes a LONG time for games to become free.
