If you're looking for FOFC teams that are involved in a #1 v. #2 battle for the series title, you've come to the right place. While quite a few others still have a chance to win their series, these are the only ones that control their own destiny.

<pre>USA IV.5
1. The Dallas Cowboys 29
2. Intercourse Ball Kickers 28
3. Louisiana Cyclones 26
Intercourse Ball Kickers (70548 YoSoySean) v. The Dallas Cowboys</pre>For the past month it seems I've been touting Doug's Cyclones as they stood either at or on the edge of the top of table. It is then so fitting that now at the end of the season the Cyclones are sucking wind while Sean's Ball Kickers are the ones in a position to take the series title. This is the Kickers sixth season in hattrick, and their fourth season in IV.5, winning the division two seasons ago. The Kickers average an NSI of around 80, and were 13th on the FOFC rankings list the week before last.

Last week, 108,745 screaming Cowboys fans sat in agony as their team went down two goals twice, before they rallied for four straight to win 5-3. They put up an outstanding midfield, as well as four other outstanding ratings on the way to an 84 NSI. Meanwhile, the Ball Kickers, in a game on the road against relegee alshiba which they won 4-0, put up a solid midfield and some sick ratings on both sides of the ball totaling an NSI of 80. Solid isn't exactly the cats ass, but on the road in what might of been a PIC it sure ain't bad. Maybe it has something to do with the $925K US they paid for a midfielder a little over a week ago.

<pre>USA IV.56
1. Los Americanos 36
2. Galesburg Avengers 35
Galesburg Avengers (70481 Coffee Warlord) v. Los Americanos</pre>Umm, coffee. This week's winner gets a ticket into division III. This is the Avengers fourth season, their second in IV.56. The Avengers look to be a mid 70's NSI team, 19th on the rankings list the week before last, up from 38th the week before that. The Avengers sit in second place even though they are unbeaten this season. They started the season against Americanos with a 2-0 road win. The Americanos beat a wonderful squad last week known as The Lazy Fat Kids. Only in America. They had an NSI of what I'm going to call "79 + mythical". I'm just too damn fat and lazy to look up mythical, but the NSI is at least 94. The Avengers put up the same score on the road last week against a squad of oysters. Or would that be a school of oysters? Who the hell knows. On the downside, their NSI was easier to calculate, a mere 70. Even as a probable road PIC, I'm not exactly overwhelmed by their chances this weekend. They have the home field though, so I won't count them out.

<pre>USA V.25
1. Saint Louis Imperfect Assembly 31
2. Epoxy United 29
3. Isla Vista Vandals 27
Saint Louis Imperfect Assembly (70378 Matt2You) v. Epoxy United</pre>This is SLIA's fifth season in hattrick, and in V.25. They have finished fifth, third, second and fourth, so they are due for a number one finish. SLIA looks like a low 60's NSI squad from the rankings list. They won the week 1 match on the road 2-1, in what would probably have been called a mild upset.

<pre>USA V.41
1. Bees 34 +54
2. Puro Chivas 34 +48
Puro Chivas v. Bees (70510 ausonny)</pre>The Bees have been dominating V.41 for their four seasons in hattrick. They finished second in their first season, and have finished first in the last two. The Bees are now putting up NSI numbers in the mid-high 70's, so with a win here they could be ready to make the jump if they can win a qualifier. They have to at least grab a draw this week against Chivas, whom they drew to in week 1 2-2. Chivas were actually taken down last week by the third place team, a result they will regret only if they draw this week.

<pre>USA V.158
1. fc smash 29
2. booger ballers 28
3. Kingsburg Aurochs 27
fc smash v. booger ballers (8223 fflix)</pre>The ballers came into being at the very end of season 18. In the last two seasons they finished second, then first. The ballers are a mid 60's NSI side, so are likely to remain in this very competitive division V series for another season. The ballers opened the season with a 4-2 home win against the smash, and with a similar result on the road, they can claim their second trophy. Trophys are cool.

<pre>USA V.167
1. Golden Eagles FC 33 +51
2. Dead Rabbits FC 31 +33
3. Deutsch Fire FC 30 +38
Deutsch Fire FC v. Golden Eagles FC (71518 GoldenEagle)</pre>Two FOFC squads have a change to win this series. The Dead Rabbits FC (229456 deadrabbitsfc) have what should be an easy match against the 7th place squad, although they could save autorelegation with a win and some help. In their only previous full season, the Rabbits were good enough to finish 2nd. They have managed to improve the squad to an NSI in the low 60's. The Golden Eagles finished third in their previous two seasons, currently averaging an NSI in the mid 60's. They beat what appears to be a not to impressive Deutsch Fire squad 3-0 in the season opener at home.

<pre>USA V.179
1. New York FC 37
2. Spring Grove Fighting Eagles 36
Spring Grove Fighting Eagles (72093 illinifan999) v. New York FC</pre>With a +57 goal difference for SGFE, a winner in this contest will be autopromoted. This is the Eagles fifth season, all of them in V.179. They were the runner up in the last two seasons. The Eagles are putting up mid 60's NSI numbers. New York is a former division IV side that seems to be a bit heavy on the defense. They gave the Eagles their only loss back in week 1 by a score of 3-1.

<pre>USA V.189
1. The Crazy Bastards 31
2. Ajax Hawks 29
3. YamatoJyu 29
4. Krondor Lancers 25
Ajax Hawks (70556 Ajaxab) v. The Crazy Bastards</pre>This is the Hawks' third season, finishing the first two 1st and 2nd in V.189. They finish this season with another shot at the trophy. Ajax put up NSI numbers in the high 50's. The Bastards handled the hawks 2-0 in week 1, but both teams looks quite a bit different today than they did back then.

<pre>USA V.243
1. The Strike 37
2. Confederates 36
Confederates (72127 Breeze) v. The Strike</pre>One last head up match in division V USA for a trophy. This one should be good for autopromotion either way. The Confederates put up a low 60's NSI. The Strike punished a much weaker Confederates squad by the score of 6-0. With a very strong goal difference, a win here is a ticket to division IV.

<pre>USA VI.915
1. The... umm... good 37
2. Clumps 35
Clumps (229202 Marmel) v. The... umm.. good</pre>

Well my Cyclones really know how to choke. In the week 7 & 8 head to head matchup VS alshiba (clinched 7th place) we tied! both game....a really big dissapointment, I shuold have won both of those game. We still managed to hold on to a good position and had a great chance at finishing first but this past week we choked on the road against Rockville, the 5th or 6th place team and lost 2-0 :(
Good luck to YoSoySean and his ball kickers...

Last week's ratings:

Puro Chivas
Midfield: inadequate
Right Side Defence: solid
Central Defence: brilliant
Left Side Defence: brilliant
Right Side Attack: brilliant
Central Attack: world class
Left Side Attack: solid

Bees
Midfield: passable
Right Side Defence: world class
Central Defence: brilliant
Left Side Defence: outstanding
Right Side Attack: excellent
Central Attack: excellent
Left Side Attack: excellent

The Bees ratings were put up with a PIC and 5 backups, 1 in midfield, 2 wingers, 1 defender and 1 forward. Puro's was also a PIC, but played starters. We should put up at least a formidable midfield, important to keep the attacks away from his stellar attack. The Bees have 10 shutouts in a row, but that streak should come to an end.

I keep going back and forth on MOTSing this game or not. Unless we get a lot of help this weekend we will not autopromote, leaving us with our third qualifier in a row. The last 2 were lost due to TS problems, and I don't want to face that again. I also feel very strongly that we will win possession comfortably, and set team records in midfield and attack without MOTSing.

OTOH, we are on the road, and if we don't get 65% possession, we will be in trouble.

What would you do?

edit: FYI, We have PICed every week this season, so I don't think a 90+ NSI is out of thew question.

I assume you are at delirious TS now - so if you MOTS this week, you should be at calm or composed for the qualifier - that isn't bad.

Are Chivas ratings from a home or away match?

Shouldn't be in this position right now but whatever. SLIA has made three key purchases recently that should win the Epoxy game for us. With the three new players we put up a rating of 68 while away, using PIC last league game. So since we are at home... and using MOTS..... Win? :) (I hope at least)

Assuming we get a rating of 69 or better it will be SLIA's best game ever.

What the Hell? How'd the damn Avengers fall behind the Americanos? Damn working on Hattie day and me being all out of sort on Hattie informations.

Maybe it has something to do with the $925K US they paid for a midfielder a little over a week ago.

Eh... he's just a rental. That week, my #1 IM was suspended and my #3 IM was in horrible form (which keeps on going down, he's still at disastrous). I still have him around and it's a good thing since my #2 IM is now injured.

Many thanks to the Chivas for making this easy on me. I guess he just decided to concede midfield, but that went way too far.

Dola:

We were able to put up our first ever 90 NSI, not bad for a team who'd never put up an 80 before.
