:) Hope everyone is well.
Actually just had a quick question, as I have to believe the broad range of individuals among us FOFC'ers seemingly have to have some good info on this...
Don't laugh, just a question...
Anyone out there ever checked out any kind of online dating/meeting people kind of site? Just wondering..
..and also along those lines, anyone ever used one of these sites to locate an old friend that you've lost touch with?
Any thoughts?
Anyway, again I hope everyone is doing well and life is treating you kindly.
And since I haven't mentioned this in a while, let me say this again.. FOFC ROCKS!! :)

How've you been MK! As far as dating sites, I wouldn't know. I know Friendster has become really popular. It's free (friendster.com) and I've thought about joining up just to see if anyone I used to know is on it.

Heya MK!
I'd hate to call myself and expert and it has been about 2 years since I visited one of the dating sites. I did actually meet a wonderful lady at one of them 2 years ago . . . and we are still dating to this day.
My GF and I met at match.com. I went through quite a few dates between this one and another service, I think it was Kiss.com. I found at least one psycho amongst the other chaff, but after maybe 1 year of working with it I found a good woman.
I'm sure that they've all changed formats at least 10 times. If you are up to the task of sifting through the chaff, it's not a bad idea to join one of these sites. It's not the best solution, but it can work.

I was almost sad to click the link, because i knew it would be one of those posts that was just brought up to the top of the list, since you started it, MK. Now I am happy that Mr. Mid-Major is back on the board.
I haven't used a dating service...but, hey, I'm only in college. However, my Spanish Teacher did use one and is married to the person she found.

Mr. MidMajor's team and my team are now in the same conference. I am still fuming about that.

Are you looking to date someone or ...?
Over here in Japan they have these deai sites. there really popular. Some people are looking for a girlfriend/boyfriend. But many/most people are looking to...
Unfortunately, I read Japanese at the level of a five year-old. So I can't use them.
There are plenty of similar sites in America, too. I have some penpals from a penpal site. But I've never hooked up with anyone that way.

A "friend" (I ain't admitting to anything) used match.com to find "his" girlfriend. "He" (ahem) did try it 3 times previously with no luck. Then the fourth time... BINGO statred getting almost too much attention. Found one that he could deal with and has been with her for a while... (damn, I have such a sweet way of writing sh*t like this on val-n-tinez damn day, can you tell why the dames dig me?)
