How did that happen? I'm not running anything now that I wasn't before but now I can't load my league. There's no other programs going (and it has in the past ran just fine when there WERE) and there's plenty of HD space.

What gives? Any fix?

I found a kickass little program called "Maxmem" that frees up your memory when you want to, don't remeber where I got it but it was prob download DOT com.

Yeah but there's nothing else but the standard OS files using any!

And again this is a new problem. Never had any trouble loading the league before.

Have you rebooted and still have the problem?

I had this same problem. The fix is to uninstall and wait for 5.0c and start over :).

But in all seriousness, I do have Maxmem (and it's partner CacheBooster :)), so that isn't the problem. The hard drive has some 2 gigs left. I was in the year 2052 saving box scores for my team only. I tried moving them out of the directory, but no luck with that either.

I wonder if it had something to do with when I saved... I saved right before the draft, which I almost never do.

Anyways starting to sound like my career is hosed? 60 years of history down the drain... noooo... though to be honest my team was slumping horrifically. Sort of like the Montreal Canadiens, great for decades, a couple flukey wins later, and then total mediocrity.

I'd certainly give Jim an email before giving up all hope.

That's not it. I always save before the draft and never had a problem previously.

I have the same problem, thus I emailed jim.
he told me there was a problem with the file format or something and mentioned it would be fixed in patch C. And if I'm not totally mistaken he said I would be able to continue my carrer (in the year 206x) then.

Then I guess I eagerly await the next patch, like everyone else. :-)
