I have always been a fan of Clemens and I like Pettite even though he was a Yankees. But now with the report of Nolan Ryan (my second favorite pitcher of all time) joining the Astros for 5 years, that's really cool.

He's a true blooded Texan. Leaves the Rangers for the Astros and played for both. (Not to mention ol' Alvin, Texas.) Best pitcher I ever saw play the game. Was a treat to behold even when he warmed up. If the Astros could get Roger Clemens and Nolan Ryan in their primes, that would be one scary rotation. :)

This pretty much removes all doubt that the Rangers have had the worst offseason in quite some time. Can't wait til Kerry Wood uses them as leverage for a huge contract with the Yankees next year.
