Well, I don't think that's the 'Add On' that was released for the game overseas, I think. But...I have the original, buggy version. Last I recall, they finally had some kind of 'Beta' patch thing going on. A public 'Beta' of sorts. For me, it solved my CTD problems and all.

Do you still have the original CD? You might want to give those Beta patches a shot. One thing's for certain, their Forums have become plagued with furious folks (a la '28 Days')

Its the same buggy version with the expansion pack stuck on it. I had some fun with this game but the bugs drove me nuts. I still go byt the forum (see post above) to see if they actually have patched it but no such luck.

Shame to as it's actually a pretty damn cool game imo. I had a lot of fun playing it, but man was it frustrating.

i never found it to be that buggy myself, maybe i just didn't do the things that had bugs in :)

I'm not sure this is correct, at least with regards to the Gold version.

There's a writeup on the game and its history here (http://www.gonegold.com/nightcall/2004/02/18.shtml#link). The writeup and a thread in the forum (http://www.gonegold.com/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=015924) make it sound like the Gold version includes fixes that go beyond the last beta patch for the original version. Yes, they have never patched the original, but it sounds like the Gold version plays much better.

This is in the "buy" category for me, but I'll probably wait a few months. Too much to do/play right now.

I guess I should clarify, I didn't really run into that many crashes, although the ones I did have always hit at the worst times.

I guess I was more dissapointed in the overall lack of polish the game had, was so close to being a great game, but it just felt rushed and thrown together in places. Still had a great time running amok in the city with my huge Thieves Guild network.

Hmm..I kinda want to fire it up again now. I always thought this game seemed like it would be awesome to play multi, but from what I hear multi is pretty much unplayable.

Still the only game I've ever seen where the lead dev got banned from posting in the official forums. That was a hoot. :)

well call me a bad guy but i bought the original and will not give them another dollar until they release a patch for it (i am not buying a patch for 20 bucks)
if this causes me to miss out on a few good games down the road that is ok with me as there are plenty other good games out there that i haven't played. I am not that upset with my orginal purchase(they game is a good one if a bit buggy) but to fix the bugs and release a gold version while not offering the fixes to the people who already bought the game? to me this is just a kick in the pants
