With all the new teams that Hattrick is adding for season 22, I see the potential for a lot of cash in hot little hands just waiting to hit the bid button. To buy my not-quite-total crap players, of course.

My plans to train Passable PMs to excellent stamina look even brighter with this development. I hope to pick up a few more el-cheapo Passable PM, Passable stamina players that I can train up to Excellent Stamina over the next 2-3 weeks (depends on how well the guys I hope to keep in Div V--fingers crossed--do), and then begin dumping on the market Week 1.

Anybody care to comment one way or the other on this every-bit-as-good-as-Amway idea?

I've heard discouraging things about it...along the lines of "daytrading". Take it or leave it. I'm not for or against daytrading, but others are much more enthusiastic about the concept, one way or the other.

I'm against daytrading overall, but I don't have a problem with what OldGiants describes. He's actually making players better, and then selling them off to new players that could actually use the weeks of training stamina to make their own trainee's better.

If you already planned on training stamina for that amount of time, then it's not a bad deal, however, if you extend it just to get a couple guys up to excellent so they can sell, then you are hurting yourself in the end.

The usual term for flipping a guy after adding value via a training is daytraining, and I don't think people frown on it quite as much as they do on daytrading.

Furthermore, I don't think too many people will get their panties in a bunch about something like OldGiants is doing, where he's working with low-skill players and preying upon the n00bs. :p Usually, the daytrader complaints center around solid-excellent types.

It's more daytraining than daytrading, so I don't have a problem with that !

My best IMs are only inadequate or passable in stamina now, so I need to get them to at least solid before next season gets rolling. So the stamina training is a given for me.

And I have no shame where fleecing noobs comes in.
