Stupid Training Question

I keep hearing people talking about their trainees. However, I can only find team training in the training section. Is having a select number of trainees a 'supporter' specific function? Am I missing something?

nah, people only refer to some of their players as their "trainees". They are not really marked as a trainee in the game.

The definition for a trainee can be pretty vague. I'd say it can be any player who receives training. For me, training playmaking, my trainees are my inner midfielders...

I refer to the guys that I'm training as my trainees. I train keepers, so most weeks I just have two. (Aside from one week where my primary trainee picked up a knock in his league match, when I daytrained a high passable up to solid for a quick buck.) This is probably the same usage most managers use, although the high level sorts like Billy, TP6, and apoc may not consider their starters at the training positions as trainees.

On my squad (Brays Bayou FC 70854), my trainees are Jonas Fabian Bruggemann (whom I'm trying to unload at the moment) and Huang Kien.
