On my work computer, I've been getting all sorts of bad popups and traffic redirection ever since I went to a lyrics cite and it downloaded all this crap without asking. Originally it was "popnav," but I think it is other stuff as well. I have the most recent Ad-Aware and it keeps finding stuff and removing it, but it comes right back. I don't have administrative rights to this computer. Does anyone know of any other free solutions that might help - all these popups and redirections are annoying the hell out of me. Thanks.

If you do a search here for 'spybot', there was a similar thread here not too long ago that gave the link. Like 2 weeks ago or so...

Spybot Search and Destroy.
Thanks.
I'm still having problems though, but I think I know why. Every time one of these programs run, they can't remove a bunch of things because they are still active in memory. Spybot S&D asks if it can run on restart - I say "yes," but it never runs. I try to eliminate a whole bunch of extra programs in my task manager, but all the "bad" ones say access denied. I also can't run msconfig on this computer.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
I looked at the other thread and wanted to try Hijackthis but the link seems to be broken.

I run ad-aware, and follow it up with spybot. They tend to get everything.
I downloaded the Divx player from Divx, and it installed 194 objects onto my machine the other day. I was furious.
