I have been playing the Battlefield 1942 plus expansions Road to Rome and Secret Weapons for a good while now. Plus the Desert Combat mod just keeps getting better.

I pre-ordered my copy from EBgames today. Looks like it is going to be alot of fun to play.

Anybody else pre-order this yet?

It comes out on March 15th. Maybe we get together on a server and play a bit.

I am almost definitely buying this game. I tried BF 1942 single player at a friend's house, and saw that it would be really fun online. I was about the buy it, and then heard a new BF game is coming out next month. :cool:

The only thing that would stop me is if the game was laggy a lot online. I'd also like to play with other FOFCers...

An FPS of Antietam would be fairly short and quite horrific. March, march, march. Stop. Load. Aim. Fire! Random people die on both sides. Rinse, repeat. Maybe if you throw in bullet-time and shoot-dodging.... ;)

If I am not mistaking, there is already a mod out for Battlefield set in Vietnam? I am pretty sure atleast. Correct me if I am wrong.

I played BF1942, that was a waste of $40. All it is is OMG YOU NOOB, STOP TK'ING, I'll shoot you bitch, fuck you, etc, etc. Just did not have an enjoyable experience online. It looked pretty cool, but I'll be waiting on this.

You're not wrong, it's called Eve of Destruction and it's on this month's PC Gamer cd. Unfortunately I don't have Battlefield 1942 so I can't tell you if it's any good or not.
