Veteran Holdout Question

I have decided that loyalty is more important than money. I will report to active duty immediately.
Has anyone ever seen a veteran holdout who didn't cave in? I don't think I have.

I don't believe I've had one last past at/near the start of the regular season.

They will, however, sometimes cite "past injustices" & refuse to negotiate if you wait 'em out.

I've also had player refuse to negotiate after I waited them out, but they have always returned at the beginning of the year for me.
