I think most people do something like this so we might as well make a thread for it.
The Wrecking Crew Awards Banquet
Yesterday marked the official end of another successful Bashers season as The Wrecking Crew honoured the players with their annual awards banquet.
This season Steve Romano was graced with MVP and Offensive Player of the Year honours as he led the team with 20 league goals and 14 league starts. Early season acquisition Mats Stenblad won the Defensive Player of the Year award as he posted 6 clean sheets in 10 league matches this season. Lesley Harkins was named Rookie of the Year as he saw a lot of time on the pitch, playing defense in league matches and winger in friendlies.

Gargoyles Awards Banquet
The Gargoyles spent Sunday celebrating the completion of another season. General Manager, Raven Hawk was pleased with the performance of his team.
"Early this year, I didn't think we'd be where we are today. Second place in such a fine division is a tough place to finish. It was nice to be in the championship race for the majority of the year, until Fockers pretty much knocked us out. Thirty-four points is nothing to blow your nose at. I am damn proud of all of you for the success that we had this season. Let's do it again next year . . . but this time, let's win!"
Along with the beer and speeches came the presentation of the Gargoyles' MVP award which went to Keeper, Torbjorn Kullenhult. Torbjorn played in 19 competitive matches this season. He was game MVP of 7 of those matches. He recorded 5 clean sheets and 11 blocked shots. Although his 29 GA and 1.53 GAA average weren't that impressive, Torbjorn showed heart beyond his skill level, living up to the guiding principles of the Gargoyles: "Strength, Honor, and Fortitude."
The Raiders are normally busy celebrating a successful season, but this year's award banquet didn't go quite as planned.
It seems Jerome Bettis thought happy hour was every hour, and when he took the podium, demanded a transfer to the Fighting Crawfish.
Jerome ended up taking home the Raider MVP award. Trevor Penn once again won the "Thank You For Playing" award.
The team also informed Michael Dailey, one of two original Raiders, that he was sold to another team for 56k. With that, security escorted Mr. Dailey out of the building.
Great times for North County!

Spring Grove Fighting Eagles Awards
MVP: This award will be going to Ted Ortega as the team's star inner midfielder. Ortega routinely was one of the best Eagles game in and game out. While not leading the team in goals, Ortega was a pivotal part of the Eagles heading to DIV.
Fan's MVP: Taken by vote, Juan Brinas, who led the league in goals scored. Brinas averaged about 1 goal a game, and was another pivotal part of the Eagles Success.
B Team MVP: Will Stapleton. He is another inner midfielder, and was consistantly one of the best B teamers. Stapleton looks to be a force in the Eagles midfield for seasons to come.
LVP: Rocky Beverly. While starting most games, Rocky was consitantly the "Eagles worst player" on the field. No word yet on if Rocky will be headed out, but Eagles management have said that it's looking probable.

The Strippers Awards Banquet
MVP: A decisive winner: Clarence Alvarado. 24 goals to claim the top scorer in vi.2, including 7 goals in one game.
LVP: On a new team, no one to name here.
Best performer on a per game basis: Troy Wilson. He's been sold after just one league game, but he scored a hattrick to complete the club's undefeated season. (damn draw).

The Congratulations You Are Our Best Player But You Got Us Demoted, Moron Award goes to Ward Hardman! The young titanic playmaker of the Airborne Penguins gave the other team the only goal of the game in Penguin's qualification. Way to go, stupid!

MVP: Gale McKinney. 21 goals and lead div vi.17 in goals. and also had 4 hattricks. plus he is the only remaining original team member that is a starter.
Fan Favorite: Wilbur Valentin. 17 year old with 5 goals at wing back in only 8-9 games.
LVP: Now only including starters, I would say our goalie Cecil Grubbs. While he did only give up 5 goals the entire season, he only gets maybe 2 stars as a passable goalie.

The Golden Jockstraps
The first annual reward ceremony held by the Intercourse Ball Kickers, for the Intercourse Ball Kickers.
The Moshe Marsh Trophy
Named for former Ball Kickers coach. Awarded to the Most Valueable Player as voted by the players.
Winner: Henrik Becser
The Hungarian U-20 keeper was, without a doubt, the heart and the sould of the Ball Kickers this season. He was like a brick wall in front of the net and put fear in the eyes of opposing strikers.
The John Atkins Trophy
Named for long time player, current backup, and all-time fan favorite John Atkins. Awarded to the Most Valueable Player as voted by the fans.
Winner: Henrik Becser
Again, no surprise here.
The Athletic Supporter Trophy
Awarded to the winner of the Fan Favorite Poll. He is the most popular player on the team as voted by the fans (different from MVP).
Winner: Teddy Santana
Though he didn't score many goals this season, his ability to create set up many opportunities for the Ball Kickers. Not only is Teddy a good player on the field, but a great person off the field. He's known for his practical joking in the clubhouse and keeping his teammates upbeat. He also has participated in many charity events and other public appearances.
The Golden Foot Trophy
Awarded to the player with the most league goals.
Winner: Byron Perryman
Despite missing 3 games, Perryman led the team with 14 goals which was good enough for 2nd in IV.5.
The Mickey Ricketts Award
Named for longtime Ball Kickers midfielder. Awarded to the best midfielder (IM or wing) as voted by the players.
Winner: Marco Antonio Milton
Milton is a very versitile player, who played both inner midfielder and winger at times during the season. His tremendous playmaking ability created many scoring chances for the Ball Kickers this season.
I was going to do an award for best defender too, then I realized that no one played more than half a season at defense... so screw 'em all!

Jerome Bettis must have been drunk if he thought he could play for the glorious Crawfish. I mean, he is nothing but a worthless NCR!
MVP of a last place squad, that is kind of like kissing your sister, finding out she was adopted, only to find out that your mom was drunk for two years, accidently put her up for adoption and then adopted her back. Not only that she is ugly.
I got nothing.

At their annual banquet on Sunday, Rising Waters presented the following awards for Brays Bayou FC (most awards are named in honor of present players, but the names will stick even as the players move on):
Courtney MVP: Brad Courtney. The man for whom the trophy was named receives it in honor of his sterling performance throughout the year holding the midfield together.
Jefferson Offensive Player of the Year: Jeesus Alkula. One of the pair of forwards who pushed the award's namesake to the bench, Alkula was a scoring machine this season (among the leaders in league scoring for the entire country) before getting sidetracked by a run of bad form. He led the team in scoring with 15 by four goals over Shuo Shou-Feng.
Goins Defensive Player of the Year: Jonas Fabian Brüggemann. Although the goalkeeper found himself on the bench for the most important games in the middle of the season during a run of poor form, he anchored the team with a string of 4.5* performances to close out the season. Although he was sold Sunday afternoon, Brüggemann was able to attend the banquet before leaving town to join his new team.
Holton Rookie of the Year: Huang Kien. Kien backstopped the team during critical cup matches and assumed the starting role when Brüggemann hit a run of poor form in the middle of the season. Only a hair behind the Swiss keeper (who is also one year Kien's elder), the club is expecting big things out of him this coming season.
Rising Waters 12th Man: Evan Driscoll. Evan ably filled two roles for the club this season, winger and wingback, and he has also in the past shown the skill to fill in at forward. Evan rebounded from an early injury to put in a solid season, earning the fan club's award for 12th man.
