Who would be your agent? I would want Roosevelt Barnes, that man has incredible intergrity. I remember when Simeon Rice thought he was worth 75 million for three years. He asked Roosevelt if he could get that much. Roosevelt said no, and Simeon fired him. Telling the truth in the face of losing a major client and probably a lot of dough is a good sign to me.

Some agents stick in my craw, like Drew Rosenhaus. Anyway, I was just wondering who you would want?

Scott Boras is a liar and a crook.

That being said, he could convince me that The Cardinals were going to win the Super Bowl and that they needed to pay me 85 million over 4 years to do so.

In all seriousness, Boras would be the way to go. The guy ends up sqeezing every penny possible out of a team that signs one of his clients. He can usually create a market, or at least create the illusion of one, for players like Maddux and Pudge. In the end, he gets his clients paid, and that's what he's there to do.

If I am an athlete, screw the integrity. I want to maximize my earnings while I can. Sure $75 mil over three years isn't gonna happen, but you have to have your agent looking to get you the best deal that you can get.

An agent cuts a sizable cut of your money, may hold it in funds or invest some of it, and has his hands in your life in powerful ways. I don't think an agent having integrity is low on the list - I think that it is the top priority. As players who had Tank Black will attest.
