I currently have an Excellent Defender for sale for 500k. I am attempting to bid on a 'special' formidable one that ends later today, but am short cash now. So if anyone is looking for a 19 year old excellent defender with the powerful speciality and help out the Crawfish, have at it. ;)
I am fairly sure that 500k is good price as most that I have looked at end around 600k.
Help a poor Fargo kid out! :D

i was thinking excellent defenders go for closer to 300k, but it depends on his secondaries.
Show me where that excellent defender for $300K, I'll be adding a defender in no time in that case.

Im just going by what I was thinking HAM had as suggested prices for some of my defenders. I must be remembering wrong. Sorry.

No problem at all. I based my price on about 3 or 4 players I was attempting to buy and what they ended at.

so out of curiosity since i must be way off on my transfer prices :) how much does a formidable defender go for. say passable and up staniman and weak or less on passing and winger and around 19-20 years old?

Was gonna say something to that effect. 20 minutes is a looooong time on the Sverige market at this time of the day... I don't say at 3 am HT time, but right now, his price may very well explode...

what you start his listing at? 1 million? Or go for lower and hope for a bidding war?
You can go lower and hope for a bidding war because that does work from time to time, but that's also the fastest way to get a guy daytraded as well. Also, I wouldn't take my advice as gold, after all, I am a PM trainer:)

personally i hate how people wait till the last second to bid. dont they know it adds 3 minutes? i always put my last minute bids in with at least 3 minutes to go so i dont add any time and allow other people to find the player.

There is a small benifit to your manager playing hattrick. You can have him bid 400K.

Now the next guy went for 331K. For an extra 170K, you can get a player who played for the Crawfish. :D

well isnt the market supposed to be lower in the offseason. i am waiting till closer to the season to sell a couple of my guys.
also this could just be an odd case, because after looking at some other markets, there are guys going for around 500k with excellent defending.

well maybe it was because the first guy was "technical" I know some people might shy away because they loose defending skills in certain situations, correct?

Don't worry. If he doesn't sell, I am fine with it, just that a guy with a name I wanted came up for sale and I am attempting to raise the funds. The next guy on the swedish list is at 504K right now. It looks like if you have some patience, that you can get some great deals on excellent defenders right now.

He ended at 525K... in the span of an hour, three excellent defenders sold in a range of 200k. Very odd.
This makes my plan to downgrade to an outstanding keeper even easier since it's cheap to but excellent defenders.

i think the problem with excellent defenders is, you can buy mid-solid defenders with awsome experiance for alot less and they are just as good. The same kinda goes for all excellent's really.
Or you can do the same with excellents compared to formidables.

could be a good point. the first guys assessed value was only 100k. i have solids that have a higher assessed values that i consider to have no secondaries. so he was obviously a very low excellent defender.
Oh, and I couldn't bid at the time, I was off to school, making people in the General forum upset because I was doing 90 on the Turnpike:)

i still have a question about defender prices. say a player with weak or below secondaries, what would the prices be for outstanding? a formidable should go for 1 mill, but how does the market do after that?
i ask because i have 18 year old (soon to be 19) ready to pop formidable. i am trying to decide whether to sell at formidable or hold onto him another 11 weeks to outstanding.
