Kucinich and Sharpton are doing standup in suits. WTF...I mean, its entertaining. But the GOP would never go for letting "minor" candidates in the debates.
So, should they have them there or not?

What's kinda scary is that they sometimes seem to make more sense than the frontrunners who have to watch everything they say for dear that their advisors will thell them that they might slip a point in the polls for having balls.

Yeah, that happens a lot I find with third party candidates. It's staggering, but not a huge surprise. I really think there needs to be some jolt to the system, but who knows what that'll be.

You sure about that? I seem to remember Gary Bauer and Alan Keyes participating in a lot of debates in 2000.

Alan Keyes came to mind when he said that for me too.

I recall Keyes getting huffy because he wasn't allowed in debates. ('96) I do remember when Keyes was saying stuff that people "agreed" with and folks though, "I can't vote for him, but gee he makes sense." (Hence the name of his now defunct show)
Though, he and Sharpton are just caricatures of what people expect them to be. Rabble-rousing, black preacher-speak like common sense advocates that tell people the "truth".
So, yeah...you're right, I forgot about 2000.
