1. I've created a file of ALL NFL players over the past 50 years.
2. All players have ratings based on yearly and lifetime statistics, including the offensive linemen.
3. Ratings fit properly with FOF but a simple program allows easy global adjustments if you want changes.

Now whats missing. Height,weight,age,college.
Although these items are not necessary for playing the game it would add nicely to the overall effect.

My question is - Is anybody interested in contributing to this project since adding these items will take too much time for one person?

I could probably offere some help. I typically have a good amount of downtime at work that I could work on it.

PM me if you want me to help, I'll give you a way to contact me.

That's an ambitious project... although I think there's already a historical draft files project that's been done all the way back to 1970. You might want to check it out.

The draft file is just outstanding and I have used with much pleasure. What I am doing in no way competes with that fine effort.

What I have done is much different - using real stats to rate players and making all available. The ratings that are actually input into the game are much more detailed than those that are now being used since a major portion of the current ratings are random. There will be computer generated ratings for about 80% of the ratings used in the actual game.(QB Scrambling for instance;no more Tommy Maddox rushing for 400 years).

Thanks to a couple of you for replying and if a few more get interested I'll send the player list and you can contribute by just adding needed data in a CSV format.

I hate that too. You would think he would get tired after a while.
