From an email I received:

If you've ever photocopied a page of a book you own, made a cassette from your own music collection, or created a back-up copy of a VHS tape - you've exercised your fair use rights under copyright law. Now, big Hollywood studios and some federal Courts want to roll back your fair use rights in the digital age -- in ways Congress never could have intended. We've told Hollywood and the Courts you have a right to back up DVDs you own. They've told us, even if that's true, 321 can't sell you a piece of software -- called a ripper -- to do it!

We're going to fight the Court's decision all the way to Supreme Court - but we need your help to win. This week, we're asking you to visit ProtectFairUse.org and take five days of action to take back your digital rights.

To learn more about our Court battle and your fair use rights, visit 321Studios.com and our advocacy site, ProtectFairUse.org. To Take Action Now: Click now (http://capwiz.com/protectfairuse/dbq/media/) to send your free letter to the editor urging Hollywood, the Courts, and lawmakers not to leave your digital rights on the cutting room floor. Thanks, in advance, for joining the fight for fair use.
