I was averaging around 650, but had one hit of 944 (hit a landmine on the first bounce and it does wonders).

Another key: hit the mouse to get the pitch, then press and hold immediately. Release to swing. Just having to release to swing helps immensely with the timing.

This game is flawed. As a left-handed hitter, my guy is obviously looking for a low 'guin to hit, but those damned spikes are in the way and he doesn't get good club on the low 'guins to drive them over the spikes. This game is not very realistic.
