Horror of horrors...load up the game...ERROR.... NONONONONO

Never happened before...

Message says many things, among them:

v.3.9.68 ruling_body..cpp 116 (also 54 and 95)

discipline..cpp 253

Also tells me about a Memory Allocation Error...

I have the computer running my virtual memory...I have over 20 GB's of disc space...

Is there any hope for this game? I have literally spent a year on this game...I have a sick, uneasy feeling in my stomach that my wife just doesn't seem to care about...I think I'm in the right to stay home tonight, crying and drinking to the memories of my great game...she doesn't seem to agree...

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi...you are my ONLY hope...

If anyone else has experienced a problem like this and may have a solution, I'd really appreciate your help...

I've managed to convince my wife that indeed, I cannot go out tonight because I must resolve this...she knows what she's married to, and I think she finally realized how upset I was once I can back from the store with a case of beer and put on my best sweat pants for a long evening of remembering...

Oh don't worry, if I can't get this league up and running, I will need to seek help...

Have you had this problem yourself? I've run other games immediately after receiving this error and they ran fine (FOF, Jagged Alliance, Civ 3)...so it does appear to be the game file and not something with my computer...

I used to get the ruling body error all the time, but the game would still continue. Can't really help you out on the rest though.

after hitting "ok" about 30 times, the game actually loads up...it's Dec 15 in game and I have a game...I can play the game, but once it begins to simulate the rest of the day...BAM...crash...

This is the first ever crash I've had with the game...I am really bummed about this...

Anyone know if there are specific files I can delete to fix the problem?

Sorry to keep buggin, but if there is any way to fix this, I'd really love to hear about it...

I don't know if this will help but its worth a try. Once you get done hitting OK and the game starts try to save the game as a different file name. Then close and reopen and see if that does any good.

Thanks for the suggestion Shepp...I tried it before and the game crashes...when I load the game back up, there is a saved game file named temp_save but when I try to load that, it also crashes...

Runnin' out of options... :(

if you can get the save game to me via. email ([email protected] - please zip it up if possible) then I'll have a rummage around and see if I can persuade it to stay on its feet, I'm afraid I can't guarentee any success at this however - in practice I can repair around 60% of corrupted save games .... but some are simply beyond my ability.

PS. It might take a little while for me to fix as I don't have an active CM01-02 dev tree on my PC currently and will have to reinstall the code and the compiler for that version (we've moved a few on since then).

I have yet to buy a version of CM because of no cash and no interest in soccer. However the support Marc V. gives is fantastic. Just because of that I will have to pick this game up whenever I have some extra money.

I agree completely. I really hope that Marc and SI expand into even more games...the level of gameplay as well as the support they provide are second to none.
