Came about a few weeks ago if anyone is interested. The price has doubled to $10.

For some reason I love this one, but hated the first. It still has some bugs though.

On a whim, I bought this last night after messing with the demo for a bit. I mean, for $10, how bad would it have to be to disappoint me, y'know?

So far, 2 seasons played, I suck mightily on the pitch, and the game locked up my computer completely while trying to move into season 3. I suspect the freeze might have had something to do with the fact I was out of contract & had not signed anywhere, but I'll have to figure that out when I can get back to playing it again.

Ouch. Luckily, I've never had anything like that. My biggest beef with the game so far is that when you are injured it only takes time off of your injury when you play league games. I have missed national team play the last two season because my injuries never got better while sitting out for weeks.

I think the key to doing well when you are young is high passing. I imagine the calibur of the league you start in has an effect as well. I was pretty mediocre my first two seasons then I just took a huge leap in the numbers I was putting up.

You might want to check their forum Jon. From what I saw when I was looking for info on my problem, there may be some advice/ fixes for your problem.

I was awful for the first four seasons. I started out in the English Conference League. Suprisingly, even though my play was awful, I kept getting called up to higher divisions. I'm now with Portsmouth in the EPL. I finally made the England National Team at 22 after starting out at 17. I've got my bling-bling and all that. ;) This game is an awful example for our youngsters. Buy your loved ones affection with material goods!

Yeah, my friends and relatives need Jay Leno size garages. I read on their forum that if you keep people over 95% happy with you, you can trigger special events to get the special items. Until that happens I'll just chill in my castle and cruise in my private jet.

Easy mode in this game is waaaaaay too easy. Once I find out what is up with my injury bug, I'm going to start a harder game.

Just to update ... first freeze corrected with the 2.08 patch.

I start over ... and run into another total lockdown towards the end of the very first season (game won't complete Continental Cup, can't progress any further).

Developer seems like a pretty good guy & is responsive, but IMO, this one was not ready for primetime. It feels more like another "paid beta" situation to me.

So far, since purchasing, I've had more days that I couldn't play the game than days I could play it. And that shit just doesn't cut it for me anymore.

I had one minor (but irritating) problem with the game which was corrected with a patch in about a day and at no point was I unable to play.

Just tried it out this morning and purchased it a couple hours ago. Seems pretty fun for a little 10 dollar game.

Haven't ran into any problems yet, but haven't even ran half a season.

Anyone give this a real whirl? Or anyone still playing it?

digamma -- YMMV, but ... I haven't touched it in at least a couple of months & probably longer. Mildly entertaining for a while but nothing that made me want to go back to it with so many better ways to spend my gaming time. I might call it Inside-The-Park-Lite (if I knew IITP from more than just reading the comments here & could tell how much "lighter" it is).

NSS seemed very ... formulaic to me. (for example, buy periodic gifts for friends & family to keep their happiness up, gifts seem to have pretty much static values by price level, etc)
