OK, I get home from work and turn on the TV at 10:00 PM (pacific time) and see that Gonzaga is playing St Mary's for the WCC championship. Why on earth would the conference schedual their championship game for a time when a large portion of their western time zone people are already in bed because they need to get up and go to work tomorrow (not to mention those in the east, who have long been in bed). This is a chance for the WCC to get noticed around the country, especially with the success that Gonzaga has been having over the last few seasons. As it is, the results of this game won't even make tomorrow morning's papers because they have already gone to press.

Maybe the WCC sucky schools resent all the attention the media foists on Gonzaga and hoped that maybe if they were disadvantaged, one of the sucky schools would have a better chance at an upset?

Ok..I give up.

I suspect they play the game then because that's when ESPN wants them to do it. If you have to choose between playing late and having the game televised or not having it televised at all, you play late. They've pretty much always played it late the times I've watched it.

Ya ESPN probably are the ones that put it at that time... it doesn't really matter for me, cause I just TiVoed it, and I'll watch when I get home from school today:D

Given the usual quality of MNF games you should be thankful.
