Good luck getting that trade done...

Just heard about it this morning. This is news to me, that's for sure.

Here is hoping he goes to Philly, so they have no need for Owens ;).

Good point, they'll have filled their "headcase" quota. Of course, they'll still need a receiver.

There's a lesson somewhere in this whole Owens and now Boston thing...

So far all I've come up with is any receiver that has two earrings is nothing but trouble...

I'm just waiting for the day he gets busted for steroids. The dude is bigger than most linebackers in the league...

Boston's one of the most enigmatic players I've seen in the NFL in a long time.

Hell if they call Thrash and Pinkston recievers, I'm sure Boston can get by being called one ;).

Is it just me, or does it seem like the frequency of trades is increasing in the NFL? (I'm not just referring to draft picks, but actual players in general)

But, Owens can still play.

(I'm not just referring to draft picks, but actual players in general)It definitely appears to me that there is more "big-name" trade talk the past few seasons. Also, we've seen a couple genuinely star-caliber players traded in their prime (Ricky Williams, Clinton Portis) in the last few years.

That's putting it gently.

Shrug. I still find it hard to believe he had that one incredible season and then went brain-dead. He's one of those "If he could just stop being an idiot and play" players, he'd be one of the top receivers in the game.

Aye, this is true. I thought last year, when Junior Seau was traded...it was pretty big news here in SD. Still, with all the talk of trades going on this season, it sounds like a new trend taking place. I don't remember big name players getting traded - just the usual swap of draft picks and all.

If it's like this for this season...I can't imagine how things would be for next!

Believe it. We are seeing idiot perfection in action. It's morbidly beautiful...

It's the age of the A-hole WR. What's truly amazing that there aren't more A-hole CBs around. Deion was the last great one. Now these guys are getting so much $$ why shouldn't they become A-holes? Champ Bailey certainly has more right to be an A-hole than TO or Boston.

Obviously, the word "play" is being used in a different way than I am used to.

Aye. Get rid of Seau and Harrison.

Wow. The defense stinks! Fire the coordinator!

(They did.)

Report: Dolphins interested in Boston

By Keven Lerner
Sun-Sentinel.com
Posted March 9 2004, 2:31 PM EST

The San Diego Union-Tribune reported today that the Chargers are considering trading David Boston, and that the Dolphins are interested in acquiring the former Pro Bowl receiver.

The newspaper also is reporting that the Dolphins' new receivers coach Jerry Sullivan, who coached Boston for four seasons in Arizona, and the former Ohio State star maintained a positive relationship even after Boston left the Cardinals.

The Union-Tribune also says Boston is due a $3 million bonus this month, and that it's possible the Chargers are trying to withhold the bonus or recoup $3 million of the $3.9 million in guaranteed salary Boston is due this season.

Boston, who signed with San Diego last offseason, had 70 catches for 880 yards and seven touchdowns in 2003.

One case where stats definitely do not tell the whole story...

You know, my first thought was man, why is this such a big deal. Seems to me that Boston is about 3500 miles out of San Diego. :D

That's been going on since the beginning of last season. Don't know what the court judgment would be...but whatever it is, that's going to be really interesting on how things go.
