Looks like Danny Ainge's lottery strategy is falling apart. Perhaps the Celtics are destined for many more years of 5-8 seed mediocrity.

Holy crap. I was just looking at the standings, marveling at the Rockets being 11 games over .500 and saying "man, most years that would be good for 4th but, wow, they're only 7th with all the good teams in the West this season". But I didn't realize how lopsided things were. They're 5th out of 7 in the Midwest where every team has a winning record. But over in the east, 6 games under .500 is good for the #6 spot. I'd like to petition the Rockets be moved East or trade a couple of teams like San Antonio and Dallas to the east for the Bulls and, uh, Hawks maybe?

It's amazing how little basketball talent is on the east coast teams as the only winning record withing driving distance from the Atlantic belongs to New Jersey. All the other good or even mediocre teams are in the midwest or (Milwaukee, Indiana, Detroit) or flanking the Mississippi River (New Orleans).

Bulls suck. I laugh at them now
