View Full Version : Greatest FO Bowl EVER!

famatu

I couldn't believe it....my Steelers trailed 21-6 going into halftime. To add insult to injury, the last touchdown of the half was an INT return by Freddie Kellum who I had just traded to Seattle in the pre-season. I thought it was over....until the second half started! Although my Steelers franchise resembles the real Steelers franchise (we have lost 5 AFC title games on our own field), we won our third FO Bowl in what may be the greatest game ever played!

I've got some serious work to do with my franchise, to get back into the playoff race. Ironically...I seem to have the most 1st rounders (not entirely drafted on my franchise) on my roster, totalling at 15.

I'm beginning to think those 1st rounders, are all busts!

notice the 100 yard kickoff return for a touchdown with 35 seconds remaining in regulation :)

There were also a couple OT super bowls, but I wasn't in them. so far in my cincy career (running FOF4) its been 22 seasons, I've missed the playoffs 5 times, won 5 bowls, been to 6 bowls, and failed to reach the AFC title game only 3 of those 17 years in the playoffs.

then you threw me off with Deion Branch, Seth Marlar, and Martin Grammatica in there, though I didn't check the date

Oh yeah I suppose that would be confusing, I started the career with the 2003 roster, adjusting the start date back to 1970, then used the historical draft files for each season.

This superbowl went into double OT, notice the last drive started with 0:37 to go in the 1st OT and lasted 4:31. Also notice the game got sent into OT with no time left on the clock in regulation. This was the only 19-0 team i've seen in my career.

EDIT-As a followup to the first front office bowl, the Bengals released Trevor Brothers following that game. He did however win a superbowl with his new team the Broncos 5 years later, and also incase anyone is wondering the Redskins are my team.

nice game.. I've seen a few 19-0 teams, for some reason it usually happens when using real rosters and it's always those damn Bucs

Just had a 17-1 team, Crushed everyone the whole season and lost in the playoffs. 29.5 points per game, 11.3 allowed. No clue where the offense was sparked from, slightly above average QB, average to below average RB and a bunch of mediocre recievers.

I hate it when i lose after a regular season like that.

i've only won 3 super bowls so far in 20+ seasons. The reason for the 19-0 team was I have always signed cheap free agents and kept my team 5-10 mill under the cap while maintaining a team that could win the division, kinda like the eagles now i guess. I had a qb who ran for 600 yards a season and threw for 4000+ while maintaining a qb rating of over 100 for 7 straight seasons. I also had a WR with 20+ td catches 5 straight seasons, a pretty damn good offense. I had about 18 mill setting around before that season and the top 2 DT's in the entire league were free agents so I plunked down the money on both of them. They both recorded 15+ sacks that season and my run D ranked #1 in the league. They were both All league 1st team, but 4 years later I payed for when their contracted hit full force. Oh well, atleast I can say I had a 19-0 team, and that was my last title, although I have an 8-1 team this season.

No it was Edward Crane. He was a good kicker, guess the coach just wanted to pound it in, but Crane had missed a field goal earlier in the game.
