Anyone know? I confess I hope it's college hoops, since I was disappointed by Tournament Dreams and I'm enjoying the tournament a lot right now.

Buy Fast Break College Basketball and you'll be a very happy man.

You won't be sorry that you picked this one up. Very good all around and the developer provides top notch support.

Just a quick update -- I tried FBCB but it took *forever* to sim even a few days, and the game crashed anyway when I told it to sim until the end of November in my first season. It also ran into some out of memory errors in earlier go-rounds. The game looks very cleverly designed but I can't see paying for it in its current state. Of course maybe my machine, running Win 98, is the problem.

The game doesn't work well with Windows 98 due to memory issues like those you encountered. Unfortunately, I haven't found a way around it so far. The game runs pretty well on the windows 2000 and XP.

Hmmm, I'll try it on my machine at work, then.

As HR says it is your machine and specifically win 98. Do a search of the board here on fbcb. I think you will find anyone that has the game running on xp or 2000 loves it.
The stats it generates, the in game coaching, recruiting and anything else you can think of is well done. It all just "feels" right.

FBCB is a good enough reason to to upgrade to XP.
