Saw this today and was moved. For those of you who know me and my work a bit you'll remember how important memory is to me, and this film has a pretty great take on it. I'm interested in seeing what others here think.
I think hands down this is Jim Carrey's best work, and I love The Truman Show. A strong hand by the director in reigning in the overacting that generally creeps into Carrey's performances...I don't think there was a moment in the film that I felt I was seeing any of the old Jim Carrey touches. Great visuals and showy touches that don't intrude too much...great supporting work (excepting most of Kirstin Dunst until late in the film, although I'm pretty cold on her anyway), and a great soundtrack. My favorite film of the year thus far.
