Orange jerseys will return for Dolphins this season

DAVIE · The Dolphins know what color they will wear if given a prime-time home appearance in 2004.

For the second consecutive year, Dolphins President Eddie Jones said players will wear orange jerseys for one home game. The Dolphins will begin the process of selecting which contest next month when the NFL announces its regular-season schedule.

I was really surprised to have liked them last year - but I did. They should go to them full time.. we need more orange jerseys in the NFL.

I really like the aqua-marine. I think that it is one of the most distinctive colors in sports, and they have a great tradition surrounding it (When I was a kid, I saw a painting of Czonk rumbling between the tackles wearing the aqua. It was one of the images that first got me into football).

Now they want to replace that color/tradition with neon orange for their most visable game of the season. It shows poor aesthetic judgment and, more fundamentally, sucks.

If there is one thing I really missed about those uniforms was not getting to see the Bucs have a winning record in them. (I jumped on their bandwagon in the early 80's and those early years didn't really count. I didn't get fanatical until the stud pictured above joined the team.)
