Man charged with fatally kicking dog like a football

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) -- A man was arrested on charges of killing his neighbor's 17-year-old dog by place-kicking it like a football.

Chad Daniel Crawford, 23, was charged with cruelty to animals and vandalism Tuesday in the death of Gizmo, a 2-pound miniature Yorkshire terrier. Crawford was freed on $25,000 bail.

Jalani Lewis said he was in his apartment complex when he saw one of three men holding the dog like a football and then saw Crawford kick the animal.

Lewis said the dog flew through the air in a high arc, hit the pavement and rolled under a parked car. The dog was apparently dead when it hit the ground and the men were laughing, Lewis said.

Crawford said the accusations were false but declined further comment.

Why can't we just develop a giant robot of a similar scaled size (2lb dog - human; to human - Giant Robot about 100x) and let it placekick this guy like a football?

Giant Kick Your Ass Like A Football Robot V1.0

I'll grab McGyver to help build it, start coding the AI :D

Yeah, I just don't get people. The bail seems a tad high to me tho, is he a risk to flee? Sheesh, but he deserves every day in jail he gets.

I hope you don't expect royalties on this one :D

I just can't understand what would posess someone to think that, that was a good idea or mildly entertaining.

Doing something stupid and hurting yourself for entertainment is one thing (aka Jackass), grabbing something that can't fight back and hurting it for fun is another entirely.

I think a $25,000 fine would be nice.

Or he could opt to have a horse stomp on his nuts.

First off, I hate you.

Now with that out of the way, I have no earthly idea. It is a test of my mental multi tasking to post at work. Now that I come in earlier it's even more of a challenge when I'm fielding roughly 75-90 calls an hour and typing on the internet.

Tonight, I failed that test. :)

Won't be necessary but if you're ever in the area and want to go out for a beer or whatever suitable beverage you care to imbibe, I'm game. :)

I was thinking a baseball bat across the guy's kicking leg would be a good start.

This makes me feel bad...I dislike small dogs. I don't hate them...I'm just not a fan. I'm more of a big dog type of person. I sometimes refer to small dogs such as this as 'Punting Dogs,' in a simple effort to be funny. The fact that someone would actually do this, however, appals me. Calling a miniature poodle or something a punting dog now will hold no mirth for me. People are sick.

I'm sure they didn't actually kill a cat for the commercial, but that is in fact a real commercial that Ford uses in England. Check Snopes for more info on it...

Edit: And it's indeed a sick fucking commercial...

Ford's European operation and Ogilvy & Mather, its advertising agency, began an investigation into how a proposed ad — which both insisted had been rejected — had begun circulating on the Internet.

I work with a guy who was trying out his new rifle when he seen what he thought was a "stray dog" walking in the woods. So for some reason the idiot decided to shoot it. About 10 feet behind the dog was his owner who proceded to beat the crap out of the shooter and slam his head through the window of his truck.

The dog owner then took his dog and my co-worker in his truck to the vet, with the co-worker in the back of the truck and the dog in the passenger seat. He told the vet "my dog has been shot and the guy who did it is in the back of the truck."

You know who I feel worst for in this? The guy who was holding up his arms as the goalposts, whom the dog came very close to hitting in the head.

Whew, that was a close one!

That is awesome. I would have done the same thing. Well, I don't own a truck, but if I did, I'd do the same thing.

I'm not certain, I don't think so. This happened a good 5 years before I started there. I'll have to check into it on Monday.
