I keep browsing FOFC every few hours, but hthe topics just seem more and more boring. Another political thread, ho hum. Something giant found in Zimbabwe and we call it colossal, ho hum. IWS #666, ho hum. Am I the only one who feels this way? We need to shake this place up a bit.

This topic is not helping things at all. :(

I think during the work day, people have a different mindset and it shows with the posts. I know that later in the day, the posts seem to have more edge, are funnier and its a more enjoyable place. But that's just me. I don't necessarily think its less interesting here now than it was before - like we're "losing" something.

Maybe the "Second" Golden Age has passed.

The FOFC "Ice Age" has arrived.

Actually, I think everyone's trying too hard to be clever and witty (cocky and funny?). A thread is created and you can almost predict what the first 10 responses will be. Not unlike scripting the first 10 or so plays of a football game...

I think we should all agree to disband for 6 months to get our creative juices flowing and our enthusiasm back. We should go to other forums and learn the way of the Jedi posters there, and come back stronger than we can possibly imagine.

Dude you've posted "PEOPLE LOST POSTS" about 500 times...

That's because they did lose posts.

All the better to fight the Dark Jedi here.

Seriously, I think tempers, potty-mouths and bad moods are up because 1) it is the start of the election season and 2) we only hear (or only choose to hear) of the bad stuff coming out of Iraq or out of any international, national or local going-ons. It gets depressing hearing all of the negativism, esp. when Easter is approaching and there is still many good things to focus on.

That must explain why my temper's been in check, I haven't been a potty-mouth (much), and my good mood... I don't follow "news" stories! Yippie!

I think it's all personal. There have been weeks where i've found nothing of interest here, and other weeks where i feel like i'm interested in every topic on the front page. I think different types and qualities of threads just go in and out like the tide.

What we need are more threads about private parts and ants. Cowbell be damned; ants are where it's at...

I'm reminded of the episode of The Simpsons when Skinner and Krabappel were in the standoff with the police and wanted to take their case to the people -- and Chalmers said, "Who do you want to talk to first -- the guy in the bumble suit or the guy with the bone in his hair?"

Do we really need a "How Long to Call?" or a Bragadociousssss meltdown to "spice" things up around here?

I hope Anxiety never decides to 'spice things up' around here ever again.

Sorry...that was the post-post traumatic stress disorder talking.

If ever a topic was ready-made for a spoof, the ants n' socks topic is it. Come on, someone do a clever spoof confessing to a murder or something.
