Last night at 6:24pm my girlfriend of that past two years gave birth to an adorable 7 lbs 12 oz boy. It's insane to think of myself as a dad. I can see this will take some time to get used to. Maybe I'll start a dynasty about it :D

Seriously, congtratulations. :D My son just turned 6 months. There's really no way to describe how much having a kid changes your life, but it's a pretty incredible experience.

Thanks everybody and I'm sure sleeping as I know it is gone. He's crying right now and I have no idea why. Anybody have good tips for a guy that doesn't know what he's doing?

Congrats! I hope to have a similar announcement in the next month or so. This will be number two, though. If you are lucky like we were with #1, he'll be sleeping through the night in about 6 weeks.

Amen to that, best buy we've ever done. Kiddo, who's now 12 weeks old, absolutely LOVED it in the beginning, especially in the beginning. Saved my wife and I a few moments of complete craziness :)

Yep. This reminds me that I need to pull the bouncer and the swing down from the attic to make sure they work. We kept all of that stuff for just this purpose, so I won't be happy if it turns out that it doesn't work anymore and we have to buy new ones.
