Do you like him? Find him entertaining? Think he's on drugs? Think he'll flame out, a la similar "attention hogs" Chris Farley and John Belushi?

Discuss.

If you want a discussion, ask questions that can't be answered thusly:

"Yes to all."

I think JB is diverse enough to last as long as he would like to. If he gets bored with movies, he can make music. If he get's board with music, he can act. Or write. Or paint. He's pretty damn funny, whatever he does.

Don't really like him, but not opposed to him. He's better then Tom Green.

I really like him. High Fidelity is one of my favorite movies, Tenacious D is great, even School of Rock was entertaining.

He's very, very funny and a completely legitimate musician. I hope he's around for a while.

Is apathetic an option?

I read an article where the interviewer compared him to John Belushi. JB told the guy that he wasn't into the whole party scene and that people have the wrong idea about him and drugs. Take it for what it is worth, but I believe the guy.

Also, the guy is hilarious. It remains to be seen if he can carry a movie on his own (Shallow Hal was more of a quirky romance then comedy), but he has excelled in all his supporting roles. Envy will be his next film with Ben Stiller and he also will be in Peter Jackson's remake of King Kong.

I'm not sure if he'll die because of drugs, but he appears to have a "healthy" appetite and he acts like a madman, so from that perspective, I could see him going unexpectedly early like, say, John Candy.

I've always like him. He was excellent in Bob Roberts, and even though he had a bit role in that movie and I didn't know who he was, I remembered that character and instantly recognized him in that Mars Attacks! movie.

Also, I agree with the "Sports Guy" (espn page 2) comment from a few months back saying that Jack Black could have been one of the all-time great SNL cast members.

I find him funnier doing unscripted stuff. I like his movies, but they don't make me laugh out loud.

I enjoyed when Bruce Willis blew his arm off

He's great. The Tenacious D stuff cracks me up...

Wonderboy, won't you take me far away from the mucky-muck now?

I had the pleasure of watching him sing the 7th Inning Stretch at Wrigley in person. The single best celebrity Take Me Out to the Ballgame of all time.

just look at my sig, you'll see how big he is. i love him. very awesome personality, funny in everything he does. kind of held back in Shallow Hal, his real forte is his Lance character in Orange County or his character in High Fidelity.

and Tenacious D is awesome. i was never into comedy music bands, like Weird Al and such, but these guys are legit musicians. i love it all.
