Anyone choke up watching Arnie walk up 18 that one last time? My heart went out to him. He did so much for the sport of golf. Growing up 15 mins from him also made that a little special to me.

I think it's Phil's time.
Also, not afraid to say I welled up with tears watching Arnold on Friday.

Is Leftie going to choke today or what? I think Ernie wants it more.
It'd be good to see Mickelson win it so we can stop hearing about his major meltdowns. Chris DiMarco is having a Greg Nelson final round.

Tiger hasn't won a Major since the US Open 2002 (Bethpage). I bet they start on him.

I agree, I normally can't stand watching golf on tv and only turned it on the last 6 or so holes just to see how Phil was doing. Since he was close I kept it on, I can't imagine anyone rooting against him those final couple of holes besides Els.

Same here. I am guessing that Phil is too much of a pro to say dedicate this win to all those who said he did not have the fortitude to win a major! :D

Poor guy wants his damn jacket and they're sitting there talking to him. It's hilarious. He's like "who cares! Give me my prize!!"

So, since Lefty has relinquished the title of "Best Player not to win a Major", who gets the title now? Sergio?

I first thought Colin Montgomery but I think his time is about gone.

If Monty wants a major, it'll have to be the British Open. No way the crowd would let him win a major in the US. You thought Shooter McGavin had it tough in Happy Gilmore, that'd be nothing like what Monty would see if he was in the similar situation as Mickleson was at 18 today. :D

Dola,
On a seperate note, what ever happened to Justin Leonard? I used to get him and Mickleson confused when they both started out.

I am very, very happy that Phil won. My wife and I had been rooting for him for years and esp. this whole tournament. This will be one of my favorite sports moment.

Whoo Lefty!
I now have ample ammunition when people make comments about left handed golfers sucking.
Now don't mind me as my left handed self drives the ball out into the forest. :)

On the men's side, I think Padraig or Appleby are good choices.

This made me think of the Seinfeld episode where I believe it was George became MUCH more productive once he gave up sex. Perhaps there is some truth to that. ;)

You obviously did not watch the tourney. Phil has lost enough weight so that his breasts are almost completely gone. He now barely needs a training bra.
