You've gotta love the picture they put with this story. I'd say it's just a little bit biased but honestly, almost every picture of him comes out looking goofy not presidential. Is that a plus or a minus for him I wonder.

Oh you could look at http://www.bushorchimp.com for more potus photo's. ;)

Compared to some of the pics on my second link, I'd say you are correct but it isn't really a presidential pic is it? I rarely see him looking presidential. Surely he sometimes looks that way, even by accident.

You are right, maybe President Bush isn't cut from the same timber that Senator Kerry is:

Yeah, I like it too but somehow kerryorpyle.com wouldn't be as classic I don't think. Not enough variety. :D

The media continually blasts President Bush for having to raise so much money for campaigning, but with the press giving free spin to Kerry, I can see why. We will have state-sponsored (if not run) media with the next Democratic President. So much for freedom of the press...

By the way, the President made it clear he wasn't sure, but he thought it was 50 tons. Thanks to Rueters for forgetting that. So Rueters makes plenty of mistakes on their own, but I don't see an article citing their innacuracies in reporting.

And of the 5 million pictures taken of the President, you can go anyway you want. If the media chooses to pick unflattering pictures, who's going to stop them?

I wasn't bringing up the story. At first I thought that it was brave to admit his mistakes but then I realized that basically it was damage control since the democrats would surely have pointed it out had he failed to.

The picture is what I was talking about and it's obviously chosen to not be flattering. This certainly looks like a case of bias.

The Democrats would have pointed it out anyway. I mean, not the Democrats, the media.

For instance. The guy who asked, "Dick Clarke apologized for 9/11. Do you think you should too?"

Bush responded by talking about how sad he was and how sad he is when he thinks about it, but offered no such apology.

Headline on Yahoo! News read, "Bush offers no apologies for 9/11"

It gives off a very negative feel. It makes Bush look cold-hearted. But from all the information surrounding the story, there was no way you could possible come to the conclusion that Bush is cold-hearted about 9/11, unless the news story writer wanted to spin it that way.

I saw those headlines but didn't read the articles. I didn't see any reason that he WOULD apologize for 9/11 especially in light of the hearings that have been going on.
Your point above makes it even more clear though. Clarke is the guy who is accusing the administration of fumbling the ball, an apology makes it look like Clarke is right. Of course he can't apologize.

This is plainly obvious.

Just wanted you to know that some of the president's detractors can see through headlines like this without falling for the bias but I can see where it's bs and a cause for concern. :)

I am glad to hear that.

I like Bush (no. ya think?). All I want is a fair shake.

We all rely on our media to be as open and honest as possible, it's written in the Constitution for them to help and assist us know what's going on and not to be the voice/spokepeople for one political party or the other. It's scary that it's come to that.

I agree and don't mind pointing it out when I see it. Just because it helps me get what I want politically speaking is no reason to turn a blind eye. One day, I know the foot is going to be on the other hand so to speak.

I think that a lot of people on both sides of the fence conveniently ignore it when it suits them.

Personally, I thought the Kerry-Gomer Pyle photos were a LOT funnier. I actually cracked up laughing at work when I saw it the first time.

The photos I linked to are an uneven lot true but there are some that I'd put on par with the Kerry-Pyle photo and a few I laughed harder at. The one where he's in the black overcoat dancing for example never fails to make me laugh but that one made me laugh when I first saw it in the news long before they found the matching chimp photo.

Now, you said Kerry-Pyle photos plural. I've never seen more than this one. Do you have a link to the rest?

A day may come... when the courage of men fails.
When we forsake our friends...
and break all bonds of fellowship...
but it is not this day.

This day... we fight!
