What in the blue hell is the NBA doing?
Minnesota vs Denver, a relative marquee game for the first round starts tonight at 10:30 PM EST, 10:30!!!!!!!!
Then tommorow night the only game on the schedule is the Lakers vs Houston, another marquee matchup, and the damn game doesn't start until 10:00 EST.
Are they trying to get people to not watch?

If the game is in Denver, then they're doing it so fans of the team can watch... and it gives them a chance to cram another game in ahead of them.
In the LA-Houston series, if it's on the west coast, that's only a 7:00 pm tip for California... totally normal. What should they do? Start the game at 7:00 EST and have a half-empty arena on national TV because the west coast is still at work?
I can't tell you how many times I've gotten sick of NFL games starting at 9 am on a Sunday because they're on the east coast. Deal with it.

Franklin, I feel you about NFL games but in the other way. I wake up at 12 and eat some breakfast on a Sunday, look at the paper's prediction of the Bengals game, watch Sunday Countdown and its nearly 1, gametime, and I'm like wow, it kind of sucks that a lot of people on the west coast have to watch games pre-noon, I could never keep up an interest in those first games on a week to week basis.

You get used to it, after a while... but it's a drag when you're a fan of an east-coast team, and you like going to church on Sundays...

But on the plus side, you get to live in Hawaii.

I would kill for 10am football. Or being able to watch a Monday Night Football game to completion without being up until 1am.

You don't have to kill... you just have to move west.

I would kill to be financially stable enough to relocate to the west.

Sorry, tv trumps the live audience every time. The games start then because thats when the network with broadcast rights wants it.
