I think he would be more in favor of Bush than Kerry. After all, he has managed to evade Bush with relative ease since September 11, 2001.

I think that if the terrorists really want to destroy American culture, they could choose a random football team to cheer for. Wear lots of Raiders gear for their videotapes and the like. Then say that every time the Raiders win they will not blow anything up, but every time the Raiders lose, there will be a suicide bombing. Then also indicate that if the NFL cancles the season that they will stop bombing, too.

If they managed to pull that off, we would have no choice but to cancel the NFL season and American culture would be destroyed.

In response to the above post, I think that the terrorists want to hurt us and destroy our culture no matter who our president is.

Perhaps, but lets not look at the reality of the situation. The reality is not that he would want either as President but would want both dead.

Instead, let's appreciate it for the cleverness involved and the humorous effect of the visual.

I'd rather risk bombings than canceling football. What's the point if we don't have football?

With relative ease? You know this for a fact? You know that he's apparently been strolling down the street buying apples at the market, waving to well-wishers and signing autographs, instead of moving positions every 3 hours and hiding out in caves or laying in some hole similar to what Saddam was doing when we found him?

And John Kerry would make it tougher for him to evade us how exactly?

I love how a humor thread can turn into a political thread so quickly. :)

That reminds me of the "Black convicts for Gore" sign a few years ago. Except that one was real.

Based upon the information we are given, it appears that way. Going from cave to cave dodging bullets qualifies as "relative ease" in my book. It should be an embarrassment to the Bush administration that he remains at large.

Then again, it may not be a fact that he has avoided capture. Maybe they already have him, but October would be a more politically opportune time to reveal him.

I tell you what. You start hiding out in caves, all of us will try and shoot you and bomb you... and get back to us in three years to tell us how easy life was. 'Kay?

This may come as a surprise, but real life doesn't often work that way. Criminals spend years living freely in the city in which they committed crimes in this country before they are caught, yet you find it "embarrassing" that we can't locate one guy in a foreign country who is being protected by thousands of silent actors? Amazing.

The reality is not that he would want either as President but would want both dead. I'm not so sure. Bin Laden's ultimate goal may be to defeat the US, but he knows that there are certain political and social realities that will have to happen world-wide before he can have any hope of reaching that goal. My guess is he knows which candidate would be most likely to contribute to those realities, even unintentionally, and would dealy love for that person to win the election.

Seems to me his main goal would be making the US look bad to the rest of the world to inspire future generations of terrorists. If so, I can't imagine a better man for the job than the guy we have right now.
