View Full Version : Texas Beginner - Hold Me

Sorry - I couldn't help myself. And the second paragraph had too many double entendre's to pass up the opportunity. So sue me...

The other "hold me" thread made me want to start this one up with a question.

I played in a friendly no-hands "hold me" tournament on Friday night and ended up winning. It was my first attempt at one of these (though I have some experience playing "hold me" in bed), and I think I played pretty well.

The fact that I won was no great shakes, though, because there were only 6 of us and other players were pretty new to the game. Basically it was an experiment, but it was a lot of fun, especially when I went all in and ended up needing an Ass in the Face to stay in the game. Needless to say, I got it and put a big dent in the chip leader's crack.

My question is how do I get better? Basically, what I'm looking for is good websites or books that will help me make the jump from a beginner to an intermediate player.

Any help is appreciated.

Please, please stop.

The first title parody thread was amusing for 3 seconds. The rest have been more and more annoying. Please, please stop.

I don't know. I give KSyrup credit for at least parodying the post and not just the title.

I giggled at "I put a big dent in the chip leader's crack."

You may like it, you may not. I took Fritz's comment in one of the other threads to heart - don't just parody the title and leave the substance lacking. I tried to give it a bit of substance; as I noted earlier, the second paragraph kinda worked in its own unintentional way.

I'll get over it.
