I once went into the third inning of a softball game up 2-1. The game ended with my team losing 23-2. Only two outs were recorded in the top of the third inning when our coach was thrown out of the game contesting an out. The sad part? It was a church league game.

22 runs. I heart that day.

Just checked, and yep, there are two pitchers in the game alright.

I guess Dontrelle's ERA will be going up some after tonight!

You beat me to it. I don't know what's so special, though - usually there are two!

:D Were you guys using the 10 run mercy rule?

I remember being on a beer league team a long time ago where we coughed up 15 runs to turn a 3-1 lead into a 16-3 loss before the mercy rule kicked in (we lost 16-4).

LOL. Actually, by all appearances, there were no pitchers in the game. Certainly not good ones. :)

Actually, Norfolk, VA, had some stupid rules. We were playing with 9, instead of 10, and we were forced to concede an out every time the 10th man was due up. Which really sucked. It's not like it was an advantage. :)

I'm going Sunday. Watch me run across the field neked.

I went to that game last night. That was a great game even though the pitchers sucked. The greatest story of the night was that 31 year old rookie Brian Dallimore was called up to play third while Durham is injured for 3 weeks. In his first at bat in the majors, grand slam.
