Just when I had talked about their shortcomings in an earlier thread, they are now providing a month long demo for Total Extreme Warfare this week and another month long demo for Total Pro Basketball next week. Good move. I had never considered giving either one a try, but with a long demo, I might now consider it.

I think that is a month of in game time, not real life month.

Month long? Wow, I think that might be unprecedented. (EDIT - In the text-sim/gaming world, where many people get sick of a game in much less time thana month)
EDIT - Makes more sense now, with the month being game-time, not real-time.

Month long? Wow, I think that might be unprecedented.Actually, 30-day demos are pretty standard (http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=Corel2/Downloads/Home) in the software world. Not so much in the game industry, though.

A new demo of Total Extreme Warfare is now available - download and be able to play one complete month of in-game calendar time.

That's correct the demo works for a full month of in game time. It does not expire.

Just to clarify things. We just released a TEW demo that allows you to play one full month of "game time" as often as you like. Now, this will also be how we handle demos on future products as well (allow you to play a certain amount of game time as often as you want).
We did this because the overwhelming response of the community (in both a thread we setup on the .400 boards and via emails) was to go to a system like this instead of the X-day or X-hour trials.
However, because of how TPB and TPF were developed, there wasn't an easy way to setup a limited demo without a great deal of coding changes for some of the older games. So, we came up with the idea of a "second chance demo" (not a limited demo like above). After working with Viatech, we are going have a period of time where people that played the TPB demo a while back and didn't buy it have another chance to "replay" the demo even if their trial expired. We will be planning similar "Second chance demos" for TPF and TDCB as well. Keep an eye on both the boards and the site as we get closer to the next "second chance".

The "Second chance" is exactly what I was looking for. Great to hear it.
