From Reuters (http://www.reuters.com/financeNewsArticle.jhtml?type=bondsNews&storyID=5038346)

It was a Canadian station, called NewsWorld International. I used to watch it all the time when I lived on campus, because we got it with their satellite deal. I don't get it now, but I have to say it was my favorite station because it was so concise and not slanted or anything.

Now that Gore has taken it over, it'll turn into another US network preaching the gospel of American-centered news. I mean, sometimes we need a breath of fresh air and that old station provided it. It really sucks that he did this, who knows who it will turn out, but no matter what, it won't be as good as the original.

im not sure why he is trying to target youth viewers in canada, unless they plan on letting the canucks vote in our next elections. Of course it wold only be fair seeing as how all the other states get to vote.

I thought Al Gore invented the news.

The station is broadcast in the US on several providers including DIRECTV, so no, he's not trying to reach Canadians. The CBC runs the station as a 24-hour news network, but apparently they'll be stopping their broadcasts after the summer to make way for GORETV

Well, we're basically letting illegal Mexicans vote...might as well let you Canucks vote too. :D

I hope he adds a gameshow. Congratulations on winning! Do you want to try Lockbox 1, 2 or 3?
