It is one thing to insult the president on his decision to go to war, but it is another thing to poke fun at the men who fight it.

It's not a very good cartoon. Besides being in bad taste (which is probably why they made it), it's just plain stupid. Pretty cliche cartoon for shitheads who think that way.

Putting aside how tasteless that comic is...
Was anyone else struck by the part that seems to argue that the war in Afghanistan had nothing to do with 9/11? Really? I can understand the objections to the Iraq-9/11 tie-in, but Afghanistan? Are there really people out there, even on the extreme left-wing fringe, who believe that the war in Afghanistan had nothing to do with 9/11?
Stunning.

Yea, I thought the same thing...
Even us stoopid Frenchmen accepted and supported that war fully... As a matter of fact, we still have special forces out there hunting talibans down...

Nor is there much oil in Afghanistan.

This guy was on the O'Reilly Factor last night "defending" his comic strip and whatnot, and it was just sad. He really needed to shut the hell up, and he was not helping himself AT ALL with what he was saying on the show. I don't agree with the war in Iraq, but to say invading Afghanistan was even worse? What a jackass, and thats putting it nicely.

http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ep/20040504/en_bpiep/rallstillmancartoonpulledbymsnbccomRall, who risked his life in Afghanistan himself as a visiting cartoonist/writer after 9/11:rolleyes: I have no respect for Americans who want us to lose.

Not only was that tasteless, but it was poorly written and dumb as hell.

I can understand the argument that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan also have al Qaeda ties, but to deny that Afghanistan provided shelter for al Qaeda is indefensible. They hosted al Qaeda as a matter of state policy and made no apologies for doing so.
What a maroon.
I'd have never thought I could be that upset by a cartoon.

We appreciate the support there. Here's hoping we beat you to Bin Laden! I know he doesn't mean anything anymore, but that would be a great competition with victory being for everybody.
