Would've liked to see him in the white and gold, but better UK than the NBA. Good luck, Mr. Morris.

Edit: Even though he was an ass in the press conference.

Not like they made the national championship game, bring practically everybody back, add a top-20 recruiting class, and have the hottest young coach in the country.

Oh wait, they do.

West Coast give up? Whats that all about? Let me remind you of a few little stats.
UCLA has won the NCAA tourney 11 times since 1960.
The last team in Texas that has won the tourney is Texas Western back in 1966. The only Texas team to have won it since 1960.

MLB teams from CA have won a combined 9 World Series compared to the 0 Texas has won.

NCAA Mens Baseball - Texas has been the Champ 5 times. Yet compared to the best California college baseball team, Southern Cal its nothing. USC has won 11 titles.

NBA - Since 1976 when the second Texas besides the Rockets NBA team, the Spurs entered the NBA the State of Texas has enjoyed 4 NBA titles. California on the other hand and in particular, the Lakers, have won 6 titles since 1976.

NFL - The Cowboys have won 5 Superbowls, just as many as the San Francisco 49ers.

NCAA Football- Since 1950, when there has been a consensus National Champion Texas has been picked twice as the National Champion. On the other hand the best California football team, USC has been picked 5 times as the National Champion.

One one other note, as I mentioned in another thread. The Sears Cup which is award to the College with the overall best sports program in the Nation has been awarded to Stanford University 9 times in a row. This award is given out by the National Collegiate Directors of Athletics.

Texans are so funny.

I'd feel a lot better if there wasn't a Padgett sized hole in the middle of our lineup right now.
