View Full Version : Can we have a stevew and Flasch186 forum?

Maybe if we give them their own forum we won't have to wade through all the partisan crap that they post.

Get it through your skulls. stevew is a conservative and is pro-Bush. Flasch186 is a liberal and wants Bush out of the White house. No matter how hard you try, this WILL NOT change.

I can no longer use my watch to count the time between when one of them posts and the other responds. I have to use a stopwatch now.

For God's sake, the election is six months away. Are we going to have to endure this sniping for six more months? I'm spending less and less time here because there is more and more of this crap. A political discussion from time to time is a healthy thing. However, constant back and forth, and one-upsmanship gets old very quick.

Please guys, give it a rest for a little while.

Hopefully I'm not the only one that feels this way.

If Rohan calls, Gondor will answer!

Replace stevew and Flasch186 with everyone and I'll jump on board.

I guess I don't pay close enough attention to who's constantly doing it.

Btw, excellent smiley.

I cant believe you would slight NoMyths in any politically charged discussion.

No offense to NoMyths intended. It SEEMS that he is more of a participator, rather than an instigator.

But, since I'm an equal opportunity offender, NoMyths, I'm calling you out! ;)

[rant]Are we going to have to endure this sniping for six more months? As long as politics are a topic of discussion, I'd say it's a safe bet that the answer to that question would be yes. Here at FOFC, on the streets, wherever.

As I've said several times before, the bottom line is that the two sides of the political aisle, on the whole, simply don't like each other very much. It's beyond politics, it's personal (IMO, that's actually why the politics are so different to begin with).

Sorry, 'cause I'm pretty sure that's not the answer you're looking for, but I believe it's the honest truth.

But, since I'm an equal opportunity offender, NoMyths, I'm calling you out! ;)Ack! And here I am all shady and unprepared. ;)

(Fwiw, I think I fall into the participator category. I'd be pleased as punch if the folks who can't stand me or the threads I participate in just went ahead and threw me on their ignore list...I'm not that interested in fighting on an internet message board. Most everyone else around here is a good cat, and it's only a handful that cause problems. Which is, I suppose, one of the reasons I post news stories. :) )

is that good, bad, or something silly to keep track of? Having an opinion, no matter what it is, IMO, is a good thing? I enjoy bantering here because people banter without getting angry. In RL if you have a conversation about this, people's feelings get hurt, they get over emotional, and you cannot finish your debate as you constantly get interrupted or interrupt yourself. If you dont enjoy these things, healthy debate, that is....I simply can say, "sorry" and put me on your wig-nore list. Shame to not be able to listen to all sides of debates. PLUS, most of the threads do have the OT - at the top so why not just stay out of those? Unless of course you go to those to see opinions that are exactly the same as your own...but how is that a good thing.

im sorry you get angry at hearing views that differ from your own, perhaps you someday will find a country where all people's views are exactly the same.
