Sure, I'm not that interested in NBA games not involving Houston but I caught about half of the fourth quarter and OT last night but that was a damn fine game. The playoff atmosphere there in Sacramento was something to behold. You never see that in LA or in the 90s in Chicago and New York. It was electric there.

I enjoyed the end of the game but this is also why the NBA is so diffucult to watch for a whole game. The kings are down 13 with 2 minutes to go and come all the way back. This is what makes me crazy, why even bother watching the first 3 and a half quarters.
PRoblem 2 is a much bigger one. I am a night owl so it didn't effect me, but the game ended at 2:00 am on the east coast !! the only people watching were west coasters and people like myself. Anyone who has a normal job or any kid in school is going to miss it. How can your sport grow and market itself when 2/3 of the country don't see the end of the game?

Actually, most of us in Sacramento are EMBARASSED by the poor showing of the Arco fans last night. We were STUNNED to see people leaving the game with 2 minutes to go... a nationally televised playoff game! That's never happened here. Not to mention the few dickwads that were throwing stuff on the court at the end of the game. Every radio and TV station in the city pretty much called the fans out on that, and I'd expect a much more energetic and supportive crowd tomorrow night.

My analysis of the game is simply that the Kings played a "C" game for about 3 1/2 quarters last night, and still managed to come back, send the game into overtime, and lose by just one point. Minnesota isn't going to play any better than they have in the last two games, but Sacramento has a TON of room for improvement. If Peja or Christie don't miss free throws in OT, or Bibby doesn't foul out, or Webber doesn't make crappy shot selection, the Kings win a game they should have lost.

Peja finally found his shot late last night (it's been missing for about a month now), and if he keeps it up, and Adelman does a better job using more of his bench, the Kings can win this series.

TNT wasn't showing the crowd leaving, you know how they are (or I might have missed it because I was flipping back and forth between the game and the end of something I had been watching). The throwing stuff on the court was stupid, but not altogether unexpected after losing when they were begging for a foul.

Cassell only scoring 9 points and fouling out leaves plenty of room for improvement by the Twolves as well. I still expect the Kings to take the next one and the series to go 7 games. Neither of these teams should be taken lightly by the Spurs/Lakers winner.

True enough... and, to their credit, the 'wolves have done better than I expected given the injuries they have.

I would really like to see Webber play fewer minutes. I thing Songalia proved himself worthy of getting a few playoff minutes in his stead in the Dallas series, and Webb just isn't in good enough shape to be putting in 45+ minutes a night in a playoff series.

Oh yeah they were. They showed a nice shot of people leaving as they were going to break. I don't blame them though...the game did seem out of hand at that time. But then I did forget that this is the NBA.


And yes the Kings have a lot of room for improvement...but let's not overlook the fact that Cassell played a half-ass game and let's give a little credit to the decision of Flip to put Spree on Bibby. That changed to whole game in my opinion. And Hassell's D on Peja through the first 3 1/2 quarters deserves some credit too.

I'm hoping LA pulls out the series. The Wolves split with San Antonio this year, but I still see that being a very tough series. The Lakers don't really concern me as much.

I think minnesota can take this series but sac is still a powerfull team specially when we dont have a good defender for peja, hassel is too short but I think the winner of this series goes to the finals. Hopefully it is minnesota.
