Anyone watch the field crew try to put on the tarp?
This is pitiful.
When did they invent those carts to pull the tarps over the field?

My guess if after our great automatic tarp almost killed Vince Coleman and cost us the '85 world series.

Nah. That tarp didn't make Denkinger the 1st base ump in game 6. :)

Ah, but this raises an intriguing possibility: where was Denkinger when the tarp rolled out? Was he, by chance, at the controls of the "automatic" tarp?
Hmmm...

Shouldn't that be "Jorge Orta rules all?"

It is hard to believe 22 years have passed since a Cardinals World Championship.

Dola-
You know what kind of freaks me out? When I stop to look at pitchers' arms and notice that one is horrifyingly larger than the other. Just look at Worrell's right arm, which is angled away from the camera, and compare it to his left (non-pitching) arm angled toward the camera.
That's just not right.

Yeah, I'm amazed at the delusion of Cardinal fans, still even 22 years later.

"World Championship" just doesn't sound right anyway.

I was at the game yesterday and watched as I saw two feet in the air when the tarp was rolling out onto the field. My friend and I said, "What in the heck?" as the kid went flying all over the place. At the time it was funny, but I bet that kid was scared as it happened.
Damn JD Drew did it again.
