A fun game started by SirFozzie. Here are the rules:

I provide 5 questions, you try to get as close as possible to the real number. PM all guesses to me. Closest to the real # (and no looking it up, wise guys) gets 5 points, 2nd place gets 4, 3rd place 3, 4th 2, and 5th place 1 point. Most points wins and hosts the next game of Guesstimates.

NOTE: You are NOT allowed to do web research for this game. It is called GUESSTIMATES for a reason!

Questions:

1. How many games did Magic Johnson play in his professional career with the Lakers (regular season and playoffs only)?
2. What was the population of New York City in 1900?
3. What is the distance from Miami, FL to Seattle WA (in miles) according to Mapquest.com?
4. What is the furthest distance from Earth reached by humans (in miles)?
5. How many pages were in the print version of the 1989 Oxford English Dictionary?

Answers are due by 11:59 pm EDT Sunday May 16th, 2004.

Less than 12 hours to go.

Lots of good answers left.

Step right up and make your guesses. :)

Results are tabulated and will be posted this evening...

Now who is going to tell me how to keep the columns lined up, so I can just copy and paste from Excel? :)

As long as you copy and paste, the columns should stay...if you have WYSIWYG enabled.
